Best KBO Predictions Today (With Reasoning), June 5
There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we came to a conclusion for each one of our KBO picks today:
Hanwha Eagles vs. Lotte Giants: Eagles -1.5 (-130)
The Hanwha Eagles look like a strong runline play with a substantial advantage on both the mound and at the plate for one of the best KBO bets today.
Ryu Hyun-jin continues to be one of the most reliable starters in the KBO, carrying a 3.28 ERA and 1.06 WHIP into this matchup. The veteran has already dominated Lotte this season, posting a 0.00 ERA and allowing no runs across seven innings against the Giants. His ability to suppress contact and work deep into games gives Hanwha a significant edge.

The Eagles also bring one of the league’s most dangerous offenses. Hanwha ranks near the top of the KBO with a .279 team batting average and leads the league with 60 home runs and 320 RBIs. That level of run production should provide strong support for Ryu throughout the game.
Lotte counters with Elvin Rodriguez, who has struggled to find consistency. Rodriguez enters with a 5.12 ERA and 1.49 WHIP through 51 innings and has allowed 13 runs over his last four starts dating back to early May. Facing one of the KBO’s best offenses is a difficult assignment given his recent form.
With the clear edge in starting pitching and a powerful lineup behind him, Hanwha is well-positioned not only to win, but to do so by multiple runs.
KT Wiz vs. SSG Landers: Landers (-140)
The SSG Landers have a favorable setup in this matchup, primarily because of the uncertainty surrounding KT’s starting pitcher. After losing 11 straight games, the Landers are back on track with back-to-back wins and should continue heating up.

KT is expected to start Mon Yong-ik, a career reliever making just the fourth start of his professional career. Since entering the KBO in 2021, Mon has mostly worked out of the bullpen and has struggled to produce consistent results, carrying a career 5.13 ERA and 1.64 WHIP.
His lone start this season was particularly rough, as he allowed four runs on four hits in just 2.2 innings. That outing left him with a 16.88 ERA and 3.75 WHIP for the year.
The Landers counter with Kim Keon-woo, whose overall numbers are modest, but who has performed exceptionally well against KT. Kim owns a 0.75 ERA and a 2-0 record against the Wiz this season, suggesting he matches up well with this lineup.
While KT remains a dangerous club, the prospect of relying heavily on the bullpen after a short outing from Mon creates a difficult path. SSG has the more stable starting pitching situation and should be able to capitalize on KT’s weakness at the top of the rotation in this game.
