Best KBO Predictions Today (With Reasoning), June 16

There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we came to a conclusion for each one of our KBO picks today:

Hanwha Eagles vs. NC Dinos: Under 9.5 (-105)

This matchup profiles as a low-scoring affair with two of the more reliable starters in the KBO taking the mound.

Owen White has been outstanding in his first season in Korea, posting a 2.67 ERA and 0.98 WHIP. The former MLB prospect has adapted quickly, allowing two or fewer earned runs in five of six starts and no more than three runs in any outing this season. His ability to limit baserunners has consistently kept opposing offenses in check.

The Dinos counter with ace Koo Chang-mo, who continues to perform at a high level. Koo enters with a 3.69 ERA and 1.24 WHIP and has allowed three or fewer earned runs in four of his last five starts. When healthy, he remains one of the KBO’s most dependable frontline starters.

With both teams sending quality arms to the mound, early scoring opportunities could be limited. White has shown excellent command and consistency, while Koo has a long track record of suppressing offense against strong lineups.

A game featuring two starters capable of working deep into the contest should also reduce exposure to middle-relief volatility, which further supports a lower-scoring outcome for one of the best KBO bets today.

Kiwoom Heroes vs. Samsung Lions: Lions -1.5 (-150)

The Samsung Lions are in a favorable position to cover the runline against a Kiwoom club that continues to struggle offensively and remains near the bottom of the standings.

The Heroes rank last in the KBO in several key offensive categories, including batting average (.233), while also sitting near the bottom in home runs and RBIs. Generating consistent offense has been a season-long issue, making this a difficult matchup against a quality starter.

Won Tae-in enters with a 3.95 ERA and 1.35 WHIP through 10 starts and has enjoyed considerable success against Kiwoom this season. In 14 innings versus the Heroes, Won has posted a dominant 1.93 ERA, consistently keeping their lineup off balance.

Kiwoom counters with Ha Yeong-min, who owns a 4.20 ERA and 1.52 WHIP this year. His long-term numbers are also concerning, carrying a career 4.98 ERA and 1.56 WHIP. Ha has often struggled to limit traffic on the bases, which can become problematic against a capable Samsung lineup that ranks second in home runs in 2026.

The pitching matchup favors Samsung, and the offensive gap between these clubs only strengthens the case. With Won’s proven success against the Heroes and Kiwoom’s inability to consistently score runs, the Lions have a strong opportunity to pull away.
