Best KBO Predictions Today (With Reasoning), July 18

There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we came to a conclusion for each one of our KBO picks today:

Doosan Bears vs. NC Dinos: Dinos (-105)

The Dinos offer solid value in this matchup with their ace on the mound. In what projects to be a competitive pitching duel, NC holds a slight edge thanks to Koo Chang-mo’s outstanding recent form.

Koo has been one of the KBO’s most reliable starters this season, compiling an 8-2 record with a 3.35 ERA. He has been especially dominant of late, allowing one earned run or fewer in four of his last five starts. That consistency has made him a dependable option whenever he takes the mound.

The Bears counter with Zach Logue, who has also pitched well this season with a 3.90 ERA. Logue has delivered several quality outings, but he faces a difficult assignment against a Dinos’ club that has confidence behind its ace.

While both teams feature capable starting pitchers, Koo has been the sharper arm entering this matchup. His ability to consistently limit damage and work deep into games gives NC a slight advantage for one of the best KBO bets today.

Lotte Giants vs. Samsung Lions: Lions (-165)

The Lions have a strong edge in this matchup thanks to a superior offense and the addition of veteran right-hander Chris Paddack, who is set to make his KBO debut after joining Samsung during the All-Star break.

Paddack brings eight seasons of MLB experience to Samsung’s rotation. Although he posted a 4.83 ERA and 1.25 WHIP during his major league career, he has shown the ability to succeed at the highest level and gives the Lions an experienced arm capable of making an immediate impact. Samsung signed Paddack to strengthen a rotation already supporting one of the KBO’s top clubs.

The matchup also favors Samsung offensively. The Lions rank third in the KBO with a .276 team batting average and lead the league with 465 RBIs, giving Paddack plenty of run support. By comparison, Lotte has struggled to generate consistent offense, ranking near the bottom of the league with a .260 batting average, 65 home runs, and 354 RBIs.

Even if Paddack needs an inning or two to settle into his first KBO start, Samsung’s powerful lineup gives the Lions a significant margin for error. With one of the league’s best offenses facing a Giants club that has struggled offensively, Samsung has the stronger overall profile.
