Best KBO Predictions Today (With Reasoning), July 31

There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we came to a conclusion for each one of our KBO picks today:

Samsung Lions vs. Lotte Giants: Lions -1.5 (-145)

The Lions have a favorable matchup on both the mound and at the plate, making them a strong candidate to cover the runline. With Won Tae-in leading a reliable pitching staff and Samsung holding a sizable offensive edge, the Lions are positioned for a multi-run victory.

Won Tae-in enters with a 3.84 ERA and 1.36 WHIP through 16 starts, continuing another dependable season at the top of Samsung’s rotation. He has consistently given the Lions a chance to win, and with one of the league’s strongest bullpens backing him, Samsung is equipped to protect a lead late into the game.

The Lions also boast one of the KBO’s most productive offenses. They rank second with a .278 team batting average and have driven in 526 runs this season, giving Won plenty of run support. Combined with a pitching staff that ranks second in the league with a 4.14 team ERA, Samsung has been one of the most balanced clubs in the KBO.

Lotte enters at a disadvantage offensively, ranking near the bottom of the league with a .262 batting average and just 406 RBIs. The Giants have struggled to consistently manufacture runs, making this a difficult matchup against one of the KBO’s better all-around teams for one of the best KBO bets today.

KIA Tigers vs. NC Dinos: Tigers (-130)

The Tigers offer solid value on the moneyline with a clear advantage on the mound. Yang Hyeon-jong enters in outstanding form, while NC’s Toda Natsuki has struggled badly in recent weeks, giving KIA the upper hand in this matchup.

Yang has been one of the Tigers’ most dependable starters this season, posting a 3.87 ERA and 1.38 WHIP. More importantly, he has been at his best recently, allowing just one earned run in three of his last four starts. His ability to consistently keep opposing offenses in check makes him a strong favorite in this pitching duel.

The Dinos counter with Toda Natsuki, who enters with a 5.38 ERA and 1.51 WHIP through 18 appearances. His recent form has been especially concerning, as he has surrendered 18 earned runs over his last four outings. Those struggles make this a difficult spot against a Tigers’ lineup capable of capitalizing on mistakes.

The pitching matchup heavily favors KIA. Yang has been trending in the right direction, while Natsuki has had trouble limiting hard contact and working deep into games. If Yang continues his current run of form, the Tigers should be in position to control the game from the early innings.
