Best KBO Predictions Today (With Reasoning), August 25

There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we came to a conclusion for each one of our KBO picks today:

Doosan Bears vs. KT Wiz: Wiz (-155)

The KT Wiz have the edge over the Doosan Bears and are the preferred moneyline play at -155. So Hyeong-jun has been effective against Doosan this season, while KT’s league-leading offense gives the Wiz another significant advantage.

So enters with a 3.39 ERA overall and has been in strong recent form, allowing just one run in five of his last seven starts. He’s been particularly effective against the Bears, posting a 2.25 ERA against Doosan in 2026.

The Bears counter with Choi Min-seok, who has struggled against KT this season. Choi owns a 4.91 ERA in two starts against the Wiz, creating a favorable matchup for one of the KBO’s most productive offenses.

KT leads the league with a .279 team batting average, giving the Wiz plenty of offensive firepower to support So. Doosan, meanwhile, has produced just 487 RBIs, ranking second-last in the KBO. That lack of run production could make it difficult for the Bears to keep pace if KT gets its bats going.

With So pitching well both overall and against Doosan, combined with KT’s league-leading batting average and Doosan’s limited offensive production, the Wiz rank as one the best KBO bets today.

Samsung Lions vs. Kiwoom Heroes: Lions (-165)

The Samsung Lions have the edge on the moneyline against the Kiwoom Heroes, with Austin Voth looking to build off his latest bounce-back performance. At -165, Samsung remains the preferred side for one of the best KBO picks today.

Voth struggled in the two starts following his KBO debut, but he appeared to regain his form against the SSG Landers last time out. He allowed just two earned runs in a winning effort, a major improvement from his previous performances. Although his overall ERA remains elevated at 7.41, the latest outing suggests he may finally be settling in.

The matchup should also work in Voth’s favor. Kiwoom owns the worst offense in the league, hitting just .246 as a team with 432 RBIs. That lack of production could make it difficult for the Heroes to take advantage if Voth continues his recent improvement.

Kiwoom starter Raúl Alcántara has been solid overall with a 3.85 ERA, but his recent form is a concern. He’s surrendered 11 earned runs over his last two outings, giving Samsung an opportunity to put pressure on him early.

With Voth coming off his best recent start and Kiwoom ranking last offensively, the Lions have the stronger setup. Samsung should be able to provide enough run support while Voth looks to carry his momentum forward. The Lions should be closer to a -225 favorite here.
