Best KBO Predictions Today (With Reasoning), August 28
There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we came to a conclusion for each one of our KBO picks today:
SSG Landers vs. KIA Tigers: Tigers -1.5 (-135)
The KIA Tigers have a clear pitching advantage over the SSG Landers, making the -1.5 runline an appealing play. Adam Oller has been excellent against SSG this season, while the Landers’ pitching staff and starting rotation continue to struggle.
Oller has dominated the Landers in 2026, posting a 1.65 ERA across three starts against them. He’s also been strong overall, carrying a 3.08 ERA and 1.08 WHIP. His recent form is encouraging, as he’s allowed just one earned run in each of his last three outings.

SSG counters with Lee Jun-ki, who has struggled through his first two KBO starts. The 24-year-old owns a 6.00 ERA and 2.00 WHIP and is still adjusting after spending time in the minors. Facing an experienced starter like Oller could make for another difficult outing.
The Landers’ overall pitching numbers make the matchup even more favorable for KIA. SSG ranks last in the KBO with a 5.46 team ERA, while also sitting second-last with a .263 team batting average. That combination leaves little margin for error against an ace who has already dominated this matchup.
With Oller pitching at an elite level against SSG and Lee still trying to find his footing, KIA should have opportunities to build a lead. The Tigers have the pitching advantage to keep the Landers in check while their offense creates enough separation to cover the runline for one of the best KBO betting picks today.
KT Wiz vs. Samsung Lions: Over 11.5 (-125)
The KT Wiz and Samsung Lions are set up for a high-scoring matchup, making the over 11.5 runs an appealing KBO betting option. Both offenses rank among the league’s best, while the starting pitching presents plenty of opportunities for runs.
The Wiz rank second in the KBO with a .278 team batting average, while Samsung leads the league at .280. With both lineups producing at such a high level, the matchup becomes particularly attractive when considering the struggles of the opposing starters.

KT sends Oh Won-seok to the mound, and he’s struggled throughout the season with a 6.25 ERA and 1.55 WHIP across 18 appearances. Against Samsung’s league-leading offense, Oh could have trouble keeping runners off the bases and limiting damage.
The Lions counter with 22-year-old Kim Baek-san, who has posted a respectable 3.38 ERA through his first three KBO starts. However, his 1.41 WHIP shows he’s allowing plenty of traffic, which could become a major issue against a potent KT lineup.
With both teams ranking first or second in batting average and both starters allowing plenty of baserunners, the scoring opportunities should be plentiful. Even if one pitcher manages to limit the damage early, the quality of these offenses gives the over plenty of upside.
