The Buccaneers have looked good against inferior foes this season, but their toughest games haven’t gone well. They struggled in double-digit losses to the Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions earlier this season.
The Bills have looked anemic at times, but terrific in other games. Despite blowing out the Miami Dolphins, they lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London and had to hold on versus the New York Giants.
Last week, the Bills were moving in slow motion against the New England Patriots. Which Bills team shows up on Thursday Night Football?
Expect a much better effort at home in Orchard Park. The Bills pull away for a double-digit win.

These have been two of the most inconsistent teams in the NFL in 2023-24. The formula for the Falcons is very simplistic: run the ball with Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier.
However, if the running game isn’t efficient, QB Desmond Ridder is alone on an island. Ridder isn’t a QB who can win games with his arm. The Titans should successfully limit the Falcons on the ground, putting them in a bind.
This is will not be a pretty game, but the Titans should win a low-scoring punt fest at home in Nashville.

After a marquee Monday Night Football showdown versus the San Francisco 49ers, the Vikings are on the road for an NFC North rivalry game at Lambeau Field.
With a short week ahead for the Vikings, it should be difficult to focus on the Packers following a physical battle on Monday. Jordan Love and the Packers have the Vikings in a pretty good spot in Week 8.
Justin Jefferson’s absence should be felt in this divisional matchup. The Packers have just enough to edge out the Vikings at Lambeau.

On the other hand, the Texans didn’t need a bye week to potentially slow them down. Behind an NFL Rookie of the Year season from C.J. Stroud, the Texans are 3-3 heading into Week 8.
The week off should do the Panthers plenty of good, especially for the health of key players like running back Miles Sanders. Expect them to take this game down to the wire, with a chance to win on a last-second field goal.

The pass rush should get to Matthew Stafford in this matchup. Micah Parsons is expected to give the Rams’ offense a bunch of problems in Week 8.
The Rams should keep this competitive in the first half. However, the Cowboys will ride their defense to a win and cover.

Back home after a successful business trip to Los Angeles against the Rams, expect the momentum to carry over this week. The Steelers are in a good position at home to give Trevor Lawrence and the Jags problems at Acrisure Stadium.

The Saints are lost without a clear identity. This roster has an abundance of talent, but they can’t put it all together. At 3-4, the Saints can’t afford to concede a third straight loss.
The Colts are in the same position as the Saints. They don’t have much of an identity without Anthony Richardson on the field.
Gardner Minshew is doing what he can, but the defense didn’t give him much help versus the Cleveland Browns last week. Nevertheless, the home underdog is the best value at football betting sites in a toss-up game.

The Jets might have gotten too confident in themselves during the bye week. A letdown spot after beating the Eagles is possible.
In this intra-city rivalry showdown, the underdog plus the points is the suggested play at MetLife Stadium.

A week after the Patriots played their best game of the season, they head to Miami for an AFC East showdown against the Dolphins. In Week 2, the Dolphins left Foxborough with a 24-17 win at Gillette Stadium.
After blowing a 22-10 lead in the fourth quarter versus the Bills, and then retaking the lead with seconds remaining, there could be a letdown here.
The Patriots should make some plays defensively, but wear out in the second half. Expect a two-touchdown victory for the Dolphins at home.

The Browns are on the West Coast following a thoroughly entertaining contest against the Colts. The defense did not perform as expected, but a letdown after beating the 49ers in Week 6 was not surprising.
Expect the Browns’ defense to respond with a strong showing at Lumen Field in Seattle. Myles Garrett and the Browns should get into the backfield to disrupt Geno Smith.
However, the uncertain QB situation for the Browns makes them tough to back. Deshaun Watson exited last week after his head was slammed on the turf.
P.J. Walker is fine in spots, but we don’t like him in a dangerous environment on the road.

Last week, the Ravens dismantled the Lions for a 38-6 win. It was a complete performance on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.
The Ravens looked like a Super Bowl 58 contender in the impressive victory. How much motivation do they have for a road trip to Arizona against a bad Cardinals squad?
Probably enough to make this game more interesting than many people expect to see. The Ravens are unlikely to roll over the Cardinals like they did in Week 7 against the Lions.
However, the Ravens should still win and cover by double digits.

The Chiefs are the superior team, but this is the biggest game of the year for the Broncos. A winning performance would give Sean Payton and the Broncos another much-needed confidence boost after topping the Packers.
Beating Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs outright is a tall order, though. We don’t see that happening, but the Broncos are getting up for this matchup.
Two weeks ago, the Broncos were competitive in a 19-8 loss at Arrowhead Stadium. The defense stood up, but the offense looked lost.
There should be more fireworks in the second meeting. Expect the Broncos to lose, but cover the point spread.

They’ve seemed to figure things out after a slow start this season. Last year, it was the same circumstance for the Bengals. Following a questionable September, the Bengals took off and landed in the AFC conference championship game.
The 49ers remain banged up going into Week 8. Even without a healthy starting lineup, the 49ers are still one of the best teams in the NFL. Nevertheless, the Bengals should make a game out of this in the Bay Area.
Look for the home team to prevail, but the Bengals cover after having an extra week to prepare.

It was an impressive showing from the Bears, but they’ll need Bagent to be more than a game manager against the Chargers. The Chargers will force Bagent to put the ball in the air.
Justin Herbert’s arm should prove to be the difference. Bagent and the Bears can’t match their offensive output, as the Chargers secure a double-digit win and cover.

The Lions host the Las Vegas Raiders at Ford Field on Monday Night Football. This primetime appearance comes after a trainwreck in Baltimore.
The Ravens decimated the Lions for a wire-to-wire victory of 38-6. With that loss out of their system, we expect much better from the Lions at home, though.
Jared Goff is one of the worst QBs in the league when playing outdoors in the elements. He struggled to put drives together in windy conditions.
However, Goff will bounce back under the roof at Ford Field. Jimmy Garoppolo, who is expected to return, is unlikely to help a Raiders’ offense that can’t move the ball regardless of the QB under center.
Lamar Jackson was tough to get a hand on, but the Lions’ pass rush will have a better time against Garoppolo. The Lions win and cover in a bounce-back spot at home.

NFL Week 8 Best Bet
Amid Davante Adams’ frustrations in Las Vegas, the Raiders announced that they are not interested in trading their No. 1 receiver. Following another disappointing loss, Adams probably wanted to hear otherwise.
Statistically, the Raiders aren’t the worst offense in the NFL. However, they certainly look like it at times. Adams wants the ball downfield, but Garoppolo, nor the other QBs in Las Vegas, have the arm to connect with him in the secondary.
While the Raiders will have difficulties hitting the big play, the Lions will get in sync after an ugly outing against the Ravens. Amon Ra. St-Brown and Jameson Williams are set to shine in primetime on Monday Night Football.
Dan Campbell gets the Lions re-focused with an extra day to prepare for Week 8. The electric crowd at Ford Field should take care of the rest. Look for a double-digit win.
