Seattle Storm vs. Toronto Tempo (-3) (-115)
Seattle (1-1) heads north after an 89-82 road win over Connecticut, with Lexie Brown giving the Storm a major lift off the bench. Her 17 points and five made threes helped Seattle create separation, while rookie Flau’jae Johnson added 16 points in a game where the Storm also earned 33 free-throw attempts.

— Toronto Tempo (@TempoBasketball) May 9, 2026
Toronto’s (0-1) WNBA debut ended in a 68-65 home loss to Washington, but there is reason to expect a cleaner showing here. Marina Mabrey carried the offense with 27 points, and the Tempo still had a chance to win despite shooting just 27 percent from the field.
That poor shooting night should be corrected at home, and Toronto’s defense gives it a reliable path to control the pace. With the Tempo looking for their first WNBA win, laying 3 points is the play.
Indiana Fever (-1.5) vs. Los Angeles Sparks (-108)
Indiana (0-1) opened the season with a tough 107-104 loss against Dallas, but the Fever offense showed plenty of firepower. Kelsey Mitchell poured in 30 points, while Caitlin Clark finished with 20 points and seven assists as Indiana consistently pushed the pace and created quality looks.

— Indiana Fever (@IndianaFever) May 9, 2026
The bigger concern was on the defensive end, where the Fever allowed Dallas to shoot 59% from the floor. Still, that number feels more like an early-season issue than a long-term trend, especially against a Los Angeles team that struggled badly in its opener.
The Sparks (0-1) were overwhelmed in a 105-78 loss to Las Vegas and had little resistance defensively as the Aces shot 62% from the field. Los Angeles also received almost no production from the bench, getting outscored 30-7 by the second unit.
Indiana should have the edge in transition opportunities, and the Sparks’ turnover issues could quickly swing momentum toward the Fever. Laying the short number with Indiana at WBA betting sites is the right side here.
