Golden State Valkyries vs. New York Liberty (-8) (-105)
Golden State (2-1) is off to a good start, but the offense looked rough in a 69-63 loss to Chicago. The Valkyries got 18 points from Gabby Williams and 16 from Veronica Burton, yet shooting 29% from the field and 27% from three is hard to trust on the road.
The talk of the town for a reason!!! 🗣️

New York (3-1) avenged a loss in their previous game to Portland with a 100-82 road win over the Fire, with Breanna Stewart scoring 22 points and rookie Pauline Astier adding 20. The Liberty already owns the top-ranked offense, and they could get even stronger if Sabrina Ionescu and Satou Sabally return.
Golden State’s top-ranked defense makes this interesting, but New York has more scoring paths at home. I like the Liberty to create enough separation at Barclays Center tonight.
Los Angeles Sparks vs. Phoenix Mercury (-3) (-115)
Los Angeles (1-3) continues to have problems on the defensive end, and that was on full display in the 106-96 home loss to Toronto on Sunday. Kelsey Plum did everything she could with 28 points, but foul trouble and poor defensive play once again hurt the Sparks. Through four games, they have looked like one of the weakest defensive teams in the league.

Phoenix (2-3) is also coming off a loss to Toronto after falling 98-90 at home on Tuesday. Kahleah Copper scored 18 points, while Alyssa Thomas added 17 points, eight assists, and six rebounds. The Mercury shot just 4-of-22 from three-point range in that game, and there is reason to expect positive regression from the perimeter.
This sets up well for a bounce-back effort from Phoenix against a Sparks’ team that has struggled to contain anyone. If the Mercury shoot even slightly better from deep, they should have a strong chance to pull away at home and cover the three points at WNBA betting sites.
