Best WNBA Predictions Today (With Reasoning), July 10
There are important things to know before betting on the WNBA. Fortunately, if you can’t do your own research, you can see exactly how we arrived at each of our WNBA picks today and the key factors that influenced our analysis.
Golden State Valkyries (-5.5) (-112) vs. Connecticut Sun
The Golden State Valkyries (16-7) are the hottest team in the league right now, riding a six-game winning streak and playing some of the best defense we’ve seen all season. That kind of momentum is real, and it shows up in the final score. When a team is winning consistently and locking opponents down on the defensive end, covering a spread at WNBA betting sites becomes a realistic expectation, not a reach.

Connecticut (5-17) comes in on the wrong end of the form chart, dropping seven of their last ten games. The Sun’s biggest problem isn’t just losing, but how they lose. They struggle in late-game situations, which means even close games tend to slip away from them. Add in the fact that they carry the worst offense in the league, and you’re looking at a team that has very little margin for error against an elite defense like Golden State’s.
Gabby Williams leads a balanced Valkyries’ scoring attack, which makes them tough to gameplan against. Connecticut can’t key in on one player and shut down the offense. The matchup favors Golden State at every level: defense, momentum, and offensive versatility.
Dallas Wings (-8) (-105) vs. Toronto Tempo
Dallas (14-8) is rolling right now. The Wings have won three straight games, including a dominant 89-76 road win over this same Toronto Tempo (9-12) squad just five days ago on July 5. When a team beats you by double digits on your own floor and then gets to host the rematch, that’s a significant edge, and the Wings are bringing that momentum home.

Paige Bueckers is playing elite basketball right now, and Toronto has a real problem containing her. The Tempo are also dealing with the absences of Brittney Sykes and Kiki Rice, which means teams can key in on Marina Mabrey. An eight-point spread in a rematch they already won by 13 on the road feels very gettable.
The juice on Dallas is -105, meaning you risk $105 to win $100. That’s about as close to even money as spreads get, which makes this an efficient bet. Toronto has dropped three straight, is missing key offensive players, and already lost to this exact Wings’ team recently. There’s no compelling reason to back the Tempo here.
