Best WNBA Predictions Today (With Reasoning), July 29
There are important things to know before betting on the WNBA. Fortunately, if you can’t do your own research, you can see exactly how we arrived at each of our WNBA picks today and the key factors that influenced our analysis.
Atlanta Dream vs. Dallas Wings (-108)
The Wings (18-9) come into this one red-hot, having gone 7-3 straight up in their last 10 games before the All-Star break. That kind of run doesn’t happen by accident. Paige Bueckers has been playing at an MVP level, and when a player is locked in like that heading into a fresh second half, you back her.

Atlanta (16-10), on the other hand, managed just a 4-6 straight-up record over that same stretch. Their defense has been inconsistent, which is a dangerous trait to carry into a game against a Dallas offense that’s been firing on all cylinders. The Dream are also just 5-8 ATS on the road, which signals they’ve been underperforming expectations away from home all season.
The juice at WNBA betting sites is almost identical on both sides here, making this a clean, low-cost play on the better team. Dallas has the form, the star power, and the momentum. That combination is hard to fade.
Golden State Valkyries -4.5 (-112) vs. Phoenix Mercury
The Golden State Valkyries (19-8) have been one of the most dominant teams in the WNBA this season. Going 9-1 straight up in their last 10 games before the break tells you everything you need to know about where this team stands right now. Add in the fact that they carry the league’s best defense into this matchup, and Phoenix has a serious problem on its hands.

The Mercury (10-18) have been inconsistent all season, and their home record against the spread backs that up. At 4-9 ATS at home, Phoenix simply hasn’t been reliable for bettors even when playing in front of their own crowd. The Valkyries, meanwhile, have gone 7-5 ATS on the road, showing they travel well and continue to perform against the number away from home.
4.5 points is a manageable number to lay against a streaky Mercury squad. Golden State’s defensive identity makes it hard for opponents to generate easy buckets, which is exactly the kind of formula that keeps games within a controlled margin and covers spreads consistently.
