Tour of Flanders 2026 Betting Preview: Winner Odds and Predictions

Tour of Flanders 2026 Betting Preview: Winner Odds and Predictions

Tadej Pogačar can make history this weekend with his third Tour of Flanders win in four years. Pogačar is the reigning champion and the favorite in the current Tour of Flanders 2026 odds.

Despite his recent dominance, Pogačar is not a lock to win in Flanders this weekend. Three-time champion Mathieu van der Poel leads a field of challengers looking to upset the Slovenian cyclist. Keep reading to see the current Tour of Flanders odds and my betting predictions.

Tour of Flanders 2026 Winner Odds

Here are the latest odds to win the 2026 Tour of Flanders, courtesy of BetUS.

Rider Tour of Flanders Winner Odds
Tadej Pogačar -280
Mathieu van der Poel +250
Wout van Aert +800
Mads Pedersen +2000
Christophe Laporte +4000
Arnaud De Lie +6600
Tom Pidcock +8000
Matthew Brennan +8000

Tadej Pogačar is listed as the -280 odds-on favorite to win the 2026 Tour of Flanders. He won the race in 2023 and 2025 and could become just the eighth person to win it three times. At the current odds, Pogačar has an implied win probability of 73.68%.

Pogačar is not the only former winner looking to make history. Mathieu van der Poel has the second-best odds at +250. van der Poel won this event in 2020, 2022, and 2024. If he wins this year, van der Poel would become the first four-time winner, so the stakes are high.

Wout van Aert (+800), Mads Pedersen (+2000), and Christophe Laporte (+4000) round out the top five.

Tour of Flanders 2026 Route and Key Info

A one-day classic, the Tour of Flanders is an important early race on the UCI World Tour. Here is everything you need to know about this year’s event.

2026 Tour of Flanders Dates

The Tour of Flanders traditionally takes place in the early spring. This year’s race is scheduled for Sunday, April 5th, 2026. It will be the 110th Tour of Flanders.

Tour of Flanders Route

As last year, the 2026 Tour of Flanders will start in Antwerp, with the start time at 10:00 am local time in Belgium.

After beginning in Ernest Van Dijckkaai, the 2026 Tour of Flanders course will take cyclists on a 278 km route of cobbled roads, climbs, and loops to Oude Kwaremont and Paterberg before finishing in Minderbroedersstraat in Oudenaarde.

2026 Tour of Flanders Prize Pool

Since 2023, the prize pool for the Tour of Flanders has been set at €50,000.

    • First place = €20,000
    • Second place = €10,000
    • Third place = €5,000
    • Fourth place = €2,500
    • Fifth place = €2,000

The remaining prize money is split among the cyclists who finish sixth through 20th.

2026 Tour of Flanders Favorites

Continue reading for a closer look at the top favorites to win the 2206 Tour of Flanders and the best cycling betting sites.

Tadej Pogačar (-280)

Pogačar started his 2026 season in historic fashion. The 27-year-old became the first cyclist to win the Strade Bianche four times. Pogi can make history again this weekend in Flanders.

Oddsmakers have Pogačar listed as the -280 favorite to win the 2026 Tour of Flanders.

Pogačar would tie seven other cyclists, including Mathieu van der Poel and Fabian Cancellara, for the most Tour of Flanders wins with three. The record was first set by Belgium’s own Achiel Buysse, who won the race in 1940, 1941, and 1943.

Adding to his dominance was Pogačar’s first career win in the Milan-San Remo.

Dating back to the 2024 season, Pogačar has finished third or better in every Monument race he has competed in. Pogačar has won six of the nine Monuments he has competed in over that span. This is the man to beat in 2026 as well, so it’s only natural to see him topping the winner odds.

Mathieu van der Poel (+250)

One of Pogačar’s biggest rivals, Mathieu van der Poel, is also chasing history this year. If he manages to beat Pogačar and the rest of the field, van der Poel will be the first cyclist to win the Tour of Flanders four times.

van der Poel’s first win in the Tour of Flanders came in 2020. He added wins in 2022 and 2024, creating a seven-way tie among three-time winners. This will be The Flying Dutchman’s eighth Tour of Flanders, and he has finished fourth or better in each of his previous seven appearances.

The 2026 season has been an up-and-down one so far for van der Poel. He won the 2026 Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and the E3 Saxo Bank Classic. However, van der Poel finished 35th at the Gent–Wevelgem.

In Italy earlier this year, van der Poel came in eighth at the Milan-San Remo. van der Poel was among the riders involved in the crash ahead of Cipressa and failed to keep pace with Pogačar and Tom Pidcock on the climb up Poggio.

He will be desperate to win this competition and make history, but beating Pogačar right now is almost an impossible task.

Wout van Aert (+800)

Rounding out the top three of this year’s Tour of Flanders odds is Wout van Aert. He finished fourth last year, tying his second-best finish in Flanders.

Unlike Pogačar and van der Poel, van Aert has never won the Tour of Flanders. However, he did finish second in this race in 2020. In his three attempts since, van Aert has never finished lower than sixth. He is listed at 8-1 odds to win the 2026 Tour of Flanders.

So far in 2026, van Aert has competed in two Monuments and Classics. In his first Strade Bianche appearance since 2021, van Aert finished 10th. He then finished third in Milan-San Remo.

Back-to-back top 10 finishes are a great start for van Aert, but he is still searching for his first Monument win since 2020. The Tour of Flanders has been one of his better events, though, and could end his drought of Monument wins. Still, the odds are not high enough to back him.

Best 2026 Tour of Flanders Sleepers

Surprising race-day performances and crashes throughout the event can create exciting value for Tour of Flanders sleepers. My top dark horses for this year’s race are:

  • Tom Pidcock (+8000)
  • Filippo Ganna (+15000)

If he competes, Pidcock is an excellent sleeper for the 2026 Tour of Flanders at +8000 odds. The British cyclist finished seventh in the Strade Bianche and second in the Milan-San Remo. He also won the Milano-Torino in his first-ever attempt.

The concern for Pidcock is that he recently pulled out of the Volta a Catalunya after misjudging the course and falling into a ravine. Pidcock suffered a knee injury and may not be able to compete this weekend.

If Pidcock is unable to race, then Filippo Ganna is another great dark horse at +15000 odds. The Italian cyclist finished eighth last year, his best finish in Flanders.

If Ganna can build on that success, he offers a major payout at his current odds. Also, he should be well-rested for the event, as Ganna skipped the Milan-San Remo, potentially making Flanders his first Monument of the season.

Tour of Flanders 2026 Predictions

It is just the second monument of the season, but multiple cyclists are looking to make history at this year’s Tour of Flanders.

Tadej Pogačar is the betting favorite at -280, with Mathieu van der Poel a relatively close second at +250 odds. Between the two of them, Pogačar and van der Poel have won the last four Tours of Flanders.

Pogačar has looked unstoppable this season, having won Strade Bianche and Milan-San Remo. I believe that dominance will continue, with Pogačar tying the record with his third Tour of Flanders win.

The odds are high enough to bet on him, as Pogi is the obvious favorite. Unless there’s a crash or freak accident, he should be able to get the job done.
