The Eurovision odds for the upcoming edition highlight two major favorites 2025! I explore the prices and best bets on the board to win Eurovision in Switzerland on May 17.

We know most of the artists now, so we have a lot of information to work with! Below, check out my odds, analysis of the main favorites, and 2025 Eurovision predictions!

Estonia+5000
Malta+5000
Italy+8000

Sweden (-110) remains the leading favorite to win Eurovision 2025 just a few days before the event, and the nation’s price has shortened over the last month. On April 23, Sweden was a +200 favorite to capture the Eurovision Song Contest title.

In other words, Sweden’s implied chance has improved from 33.3% to 54.4% in three weeks! Represented by novelty act, KAJ, Public sentiment is up on Sweden. Nevertheless, the latest Eurovision 2025 odds don’t indicate any guarantees.

Austria (+350) is still very much in the hunt, according to entertainment betting sites. At +350, Austria has a 22.2% implied probability of capturing the top prize. However, Austria’s odds to win Eurovision have slipped moderately from +250 to +350, while Sweden’s are trending up! Meanwhile, France (+1000) has fallen way out of contention after sitting at +500 odds in April.

Past Eurovision Song Contest Winners

In 2023, Loreen was the odds-on favorite to win Eurovision 2023 from the initial stages. She stood above the rest for her song “Tattoo”. There were no discernible weaknesses in her performance. Loreen beat the field as the favorite, but in 2024, Nemo shocked Europe to win with “The Code”.

Since 2012, Sweden has won the Euro Song Contest thrice, the most during that period. Ukraine has an opportunity to join Sweden with three Eurovision titles within the last ten years.

The country won Eurovision in 2016, 2022 and is on the cusp of grabbing another victory as one of the favorites in 2025. Let’s look back at the last ten years of Eurovision Song Contest winners since 2015:

YEARARTIST/SONGCOUNTRY
2024Nemo “The Code”Switzerland
2023Loreen “Tattoo”Sweden
2022Kalush Orchestra “Stefania”Ukraine
2021Maneskin “Zitti e buoni”Italy

Eurovision 2025 Betting Favorites

Before delving into our top 2025 Eurovision picks, let’s analyze the top three favorites. Note that we will provide updates on the Eurovision odds as soon as performers for each country are released.

Sweden (-110)

For the first time this year, Sweden has a greater than 50% chance of winning Eurovision 2025! If Sweden wins, it will be consistent with their historic success in the competition.

Since Abba’s win at Eurovision 1974, the Swedes have consistently pumped out talent to send to the singing competition. In 2023, Sweden won their seventh Eurovision title to tie Ireland for the most all-time.

Sweden’s representative, Loreen, was a heavy favorite to win, and cleared the competition in the Grand Final. It was the second win for Loreen after she captured the award in 2012, too. Sweden has won three titles over the last 12 years, including in 2015 with Heroes by Mans Zelmerlow.

Comedy musical act, KAJ, will be representing Sweden after winning the selection contest. The trio edged out Mans Zelmerlow in a shocker KAJ is performing their song “Bara Bara Bastu” for Eurovision 2025. In the same light as Baby Lasana, this is a “joke” act that just works with the public.

The entertaining act is already appealing to bettors ahead of their first performance on the Eurovision stage. It’s something that all ages can get behind, so it wouldn’t be a shocking win for KAJ and Sweden.

They don’t take themselves too seriously and probably didn’t expect to go this far but now have the best odds of winning Eurovision! The song has gotten so popular that it was recently No. 1 on Spotify’s Daily Global Viral Chart.

I foresee Sweden doing incredibly well in the televote. They’re already attracting a large fanbase and the votes should be plentiful from viewers watching at home.

It’s worth noting that the three members of the group are Finnish, so they’ll get the vote from their Scandinavian neighbors. With Team Finland falling well out of contention recently, Sweden is the next best vote for the Finns! However, will “Bara Bara Batsu” resonate with the jury? There is a chance it catches on.

Austria (+350)

The latest Eurovision betting odds suggest a two-country race between Sweden and Austria. Although the latest action at online bookmakers puts Sweden ahead, Austria has lots of reasons to feel optimistic about their chances! Earlier this year, the country wasn’t even on anyone’s radar for a Eurovision winner pick.

When the Eurovision betting markets opened, Austria was a +1200 longshot, so they remain in a much stronger position than they were two months ago. Represented by singer-songwriter JJ, Austria is getting worldwide attention as hype builds for their first performance in Basel.

Austrians rejoice! The latest markets for the Eurovision 2025 betting odds reveal that Austria is now a strong contender to take the title. Earlier this year, the country wasn’t even on anyone’s radar for a Eurovision winner pick.

However, Austria is on the move, and may not be stopped now! Represented by singer-songwriter JJ, Austria is getting worldwide attention as hype builds for Eurovision 2025.

Why is JJ suddenly getting attention? For one, the staging for his performance is expected to be incredible and unprecedented. Eurovision has seen some impressive staging performances in the past, but JJ is turning things up a notch for voters.

The artist’s live performance of “Wasted” is expected to combine several unique elements. Recent reports suggest that JJ will incorporate camera angles that are a first for Eurovision. Additionally, water and rain elements are in the plans, as well as a boat will be part of the act. Everything ties into a story that is being told on the stage. It’s music first, but strong theater elements are evident from JJ as well.

We’ll have to wait and see what Austria has in store for us, but if JJ can pull it off, they will likely be instant favorites to win Eurovision 2025. In addition to the stunning staging expected, JJ’s raw talent is undeniable, so he is a deserved favorite heading into the contest!

France (+1000)

After skyrocketing up the board, France has tanked back down to earth. Currently, with +1000 odds to win Eurovision 2025, France has a marginal chance to win at 9.1%. The country has won Eurovision five times but hasn’t captured the title since 1977! Perhaps it’s finally time for the French side to bring home the Eurovision crown again?

If oddsmakers and money coming in have it right, then Louane is going to come short of winning the Eurovision title. Nevertheless, Louane should be a fan favorite with certain demographics, especially the younger female cohort. The 28-year-old star was selected internally by the French committee, so she didn’t get here by beating any competition. That being said, Louane is well-known in France and a safe choice.

According to Spotify, Louane has over 3 million listeners and has 1.65 million subscribers on YouTube. In other words, a lack of experience and stage presence is not going to be an issue for Louane at all. She is a well-polished performer, and the stage at Basel 2025 won’t be too big for her.

Louane recently released the song she’ll be performing for France at Eurovision 2025. Unsurprisingly, it’s an emotional ballad, a trademark for the artist. “Maman” is about her mother who passed away in 2014 after battling a lengthy illness. You shouldn’t be surprised when this performance does very well in the televote.

That being said, is it enough to entice other viewers to vote for her besides her young fans? I am confident that her fans will flood the televote, but the older demographic is likely to be more impressed with a more entertaining performance by KAJ and JJ.

Staging is unlikely to be the strong point for Louane compared to Sweden and Austria. As a result, I’m not as confident in France having a chance at Eurovision glory in 2025.

Best Eurovision 2025 Longshot Bets

In addition to the favorites, there are a couple of underdogs worth keeping in mind for your Eurovision 2025 predictions and picks. These two selections include a ton of betting value, so we suggest considering them for your best Eurovision bets at great odds:

  1. 1. Czechia (+10000)

From my perspective, Czechia is getting insane value to win the Eurovision Song Contest at +10000! There are acts with +2000 to +3000 odds that I don’t see carrying nearly as much value as Czechia at this fantastic price.

Represented by Slovakian singer Adonxs, Czechia will be aiming to at least reach the finals despite the 2025 Eurovision betting odds saying otherwise. Performing pop song “Kiss Kiss Goodbye”, Adonxs is on the rise and one of the most underrated artists in the competition this year.

With this in mind, the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 odds of +10000 is a bet that can’t be ignored. Although Adonxs faces an uphill battle against the favorites, a small wager is worth considering. I don’t expect this price to last as the competition progresses, so now is a good time to support Czechia to win Eurovision.

  2. 2. Albania (+5000)

Don’t forget about Albania when making your final Eurovision betting picks! Represented by Shkorda Elektronike, the Albanians have a sneaky good chance to prevail in the grand final on May 17.

The pop and folktronica duo will perform “Zjerm”, which is a unique entry into the song competition. It’s an original concept that should garner attention from viewers in the televote. I also foresee the jury being impressed by the Albanian lyrics and production.

If Albania can get their staging on point, they are going to be fully in the mix against the top favorites. I’m not concerned with their musical ability at all, so it comes down to staging.

With this in mind, there is enough reason to believe that Albania is being undervalued. +5000 on Albania is one of the best Eurovision picks on the board!

Eurovision 2025 Predictions and Betting Pick

Sweden and Austria are my top considerations to win Eurovision this year — online bookmakers have it right. However, when it comes down to it, I believe the hype for JJ and Austria is real. The second-to-none staging is what will likely put Austria ahead of France and the rest of the field.

Bettors realized this and jumped all over Austria when they had +1200 odds. The infusion of money at sportsbooks has resulted in Austria’s price flying! In any event, before the favorite’s odds shorten even further, this is a good time to bet on Austria to win Eurovision 2025.

JJ’s staging may end up being an epic flop, but from everything I’ve heard, it’s set to be a fantastic display. Also, it’s important to note that JJ is more than just staging, too. “Wasted Love” holds up as a winner by itself without the standout staging.

I expect the Grand Final to be a toss-up between Sweden and Austria, and given Austria’s superior price to win, it appears like a terrific option. Everything considered, Austria is my top Eurovision winner pick at +350 odds!
