Nobel Peace Prize 2025 Odds and Prediction: Will Donald Trump Win?

Nobel Peace Prize 2025 Odds and Prediction: Will Donald Trump Win?

The 2025 Nobel Peace Prize betting odds have witnessed a marked shift since being released months ago! As new contenders emerge in the spotlight, I examine the latest prices and update my picks to win the prestigious price in October.

Let’s go through them and dissect the most likely winners before I reveal my best 2025 Nobel Peace Prize predictions.

2025 Nobel Peace Prize Winner Odds

The following 2025 Nobel Peace Prize winner odds are courtesy of Bovada:

CANDIDATEODDS
Volodymyr Zelenskyy+300
Donald Trump+500
David Attenborough+800
Greta Thunberg+800
Elon Musk+900
Ilham Toti+900
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya+1200
WHO (World Health Organization)+1200

Volodymyr Zelenskyy (+300) has emerged as the betting favorite to win the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize. According to the latest odds at Nobel Prize betting sites, Ukraine’s President has a 25% implied probability of winning the prestigious award.

The updated price represents significant movement from when the Nobel Peace Prize odds were released in November. Zelenskyy was previously a co-favorite at +800 with five other candidates, including Ilhan Toti (+900), WHO (+1200), Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya (+1200), Greta Thunberg (+800), and David Attenborough (+800).

Thunberg and Attenborough’s odds remain the same at +800, while the others have regressed. Zelenskyy is the only contender to see improved odds, from +800 to +300. In other words, his implied chance has jumped from 11.1% to 25% since November!

Nobel Peace Prize 2025 Favorites

I have identified three top contenders to win the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize, according to the latest odds at Bovada. According to online betting sites, there are some notable changes at the top of the board, so let’s dig in below!

Volodymyr Zelenskyy (+300)

As the war between Ukraine and Russia continues to rage on, could there be a glimmer of hope that a ceasefire is coming soon?

Zelenskyy has been at the helm as President of Ukraine since the full-blown Russian invasion began on Feb. 24, 2022. The conflict has been ongoing since 2014 and escalated when Russia annexed Crimea on March 18, 2014.

President Vladimir Putin has been adamant about expanding Russian territory and annexing more Ukrainian land. The latest update on the war front is that Zelenskyy wants to come to terms with Russia to put an end to the war.

Zelenskyy was hoping to meet with Putin in Turkey to discuss coming to an agreement. Russia sent a delegation to Turkey to meet in Istanbul, though Zelenskyy is reportedly only interested in seeing Putin and is rebuffing any discussions directly with the delegation.

If Zelenskyy and Putin agree to a ceasefire and end the war this year, it’s easy to see how Ukraine’s President would win the Nobel Peace Prize. However, I’m not confident that a ceasefire would hold, or that Zelenskyy and Putin are as close to making a deal as some reports in the media.

Putin remains steadfast in his demands, and even with pressure from the US, it’s hard to see Zelenskyy accepting any concessions. I can certainly see it as a possibility, but I don’t identify any value on him winning the Nobel Peace Prize at +300 odds.

Donald Trump (+500)

Much to your dismay or elation, US President Donald Trump has moved up to the second-best odds to win the Nobel Peace Prize! Trump wasn’t on the board previously, so this is a significant shift in the betting markets.

There are forces working for Trump, while others aren’t so positive for him in his quest to win his first Nobel Peace Prize. Let’s break down each aspect and the path to the Nobel Peace Prize for President Trump.

First, Trump has been at the forefront of urging an end to the war between Ukraine and Russia. Per Zelenskyy, the US has acted as a mediator between the new Eastern European nations in Turkey. There have undoubtedly been derailments during this heated relationship, though.

The well-publicized clash between Trump and Zelenskyy in the Oval Office was a source of major contention. Additionally, in early May, before the recent peace talks in Turkey, the US stated they were pulling out of peace talks between Ukraine and Russia due to a lack of progress.

If Trump can put enough pressure on Putin to pull out of Ukraine and resolve the war, there is the possibility of being a shortlisted candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize. Nevertheless, accomplishing that is likely tougher than Trump initially believed.

Additionally, he is taking credit for ending the India-Pakistan conflict that was on the verge of developing into a war between the nuclear powers. That being said, India denied that Trump had anything to do with negotiating peace.

The big marks working against Trump’s Nobel Peace Prize bid are his desire to take over Gaza to create a “freedom zone” and not ruling out military action to annex Greenland. In addition to wanting to make Canada the 51st State, winning the Nobel Peace Prize is likely out of reach.

David Attenborough (+800)

UK TV presenter and biologist Sir David Attenborough is once again a hot contender to win the Nobel Peace Prize. Last year, he had similar Nobel Peace Prize betting odds.

The 99-year-old has spent decades advocating for nature conservation and the impacts of climate change on the environment. Attenborough is best known for his array of educational documentaries highlighting the wonders and beauty of nature.

“Life on Earth”, “The Blue Planet”, and “The Private Life of Plants” are a few of his more popular works. Even at 99 years old, Attenborough continues to leave his mark. In 2025, he released “Ocean”, an in-depth look at sea creatures, human-imposed dangers, and the ocean’s great importance to life as a whole.

Even after he’s gone, Attenborough’s impact will live on for decades longer. His influence has been so profound that the Royal Family knighted Attenborough twice! He is the only person to be knighted more than once.

As Attenborough admits, he doesn’t have much time left on the planet as he approaches 100 years old. It’s perhaps surprising to hear that he has never won the Nobel Peace Prize before. However, I believe there is a real chance that this could finally be his time.

Dark Horses for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize

The Nobel Peace Prize 2025 winner odds have a couple of gems flying under the radar in the early stages at entertainment betting sites.

Let’s analyze these long shots briefly and provide more suggestions for your Nobel Peace Prize betting card:

  1. Doctors Without Borders (+2500)

Impartial humanitarian medical care charity Doctors Without Borders has been an invaluable resource for countries throughout the world in times of crisis and natural disasters.

Most recently, Doctors Without Borders has been busy providing aid in Ukraine and Palestine. They are also currently dedicated to providing care in Sudan.

Near the start of the war, Doctors Without Borders dispatched a team to Ukraine to help render support. They are also active in the Middle East for the Israel-Palestine conflict. Currently, Doctors Without Borders is treating medical evacuees from Gaza in Egypt and Jordan.

Last year, I backed Doctors Without Borders as a longshot bet. Despite losing, I still feel confident in this fantastic organization getting into the running for 2025. Understand that Doctors Without Borders isn’t going anywhere.

Wars will continue to rage on, and possibly escalate, so the need for Doctors Without Borders will be at the forefront.

  2. Agnes Chow (+1800)

The other finalist with a realistic chance of winning the Nobel Peace Prize has to be Hong Kong activist, Agnes Chow. The 27-year-old activist and politician, who currently lives in Canada, is facing trial in Hong Kong for violating the national security law.

In 2020, Chow was jailed for participating in pro-democracy rallies and protests in Hong Kong. She was subsequently sentenced to a 10-month jail term. Upon her release, Chow fled to Canada and she has no intention of returning to Hong Kong to meet her bail conditions.

Chow said that she left Hong Kong for “freedom over fear”. She is widely recognized as one of the most prominent activists in the country. Her defiance in the face of persecution has been heralded among human rights activists.

Given Chow’s worldwide recognition as an instrumental figurehead against government overreach, she is a solid choice to win at +1800 odds!

2025 Nobel Peace Prize Winner Prediction and Pick

Zelenskyy’s odds to win the Nobel Peace Prize have improved over the last few months. As reports of the war potentially drawing to an end, Zelenskyy’s price has reacted favorably.

However, at +300, there is little value betting on him to win. The end to the war could still be several steps away, which I don’t believe bodes well for his chances.

Instead, I think you can get better value by backing Attenborough to finally win the Nobel Peace Prize. It’s been a long time coming, and at 100 years old, when the award is announced in October, now is the next best opportunity to award Attenborough. For my top Nobel Peace Prize 2025 predictions, I recommend placing your best bet on Attenborough at +800!
