ROH Tag Title Match

WrestlerOdds
(c)MJF & TBDNA
The GunnsNA

Despite losing his tag-team partner Adam Cole to injury, MJF has carried on their ROH tag-title reign through handicap matches. However, a few weeks ago, AEW made it clear that MJF would have a tag partner at Full Gear to defend the ROH belts against The Gunns in the pre-PPV show.

Since this announcement, fans and pundits have been speculating as to who will be MJF’s partner. As of this writing, MJF’s partner has not been revealed. Nevertheless, I think that all signs are pointing towards Samoa Joe being the partner.

MJF has continued to turn down Joe’s offerings to help out. However, the pressure is on MJF as even his tag-partners from last week (The Acclaimed) were attacked by the Devil and his masked minions to close out the November 8th episode of Dynamite.

I expect AEW to continue to build up this story and eventually cap it off with MJF begrudgingly accepting Samoa Joe, and his world title shot stipulation, as his tag partner at Full Gear. Either way, expect MJF and Samoa Joe (or another partner) to retain the ROH tag belts.

AEW Women’s World Title Match

WrestlerOdds
(c)Hikaru Shida+180
Toni Storm-250

This AEW women’s world title match embodies everything that is right and wrong with AEW’s booking of the women’s roster.

The women’s world title has changed hands four times this year, including three times in the last three months. It’s as if AEW’s booking team can’t make up their minds as to who should be the face of the women’s division.

However, the one thing that they have gotten right is Toni Storm, but that’s also due to her amazing character work as a timeless actress from the 1940s. I’ve said this before, and I will continue to say it, Toni Storm has been the best female wrestler in all of pro wrestling. If it weren’t for Christian and Adam Copeland, Storm would be the best thing about AEW right now.

I see the women’s world title continuing to play hot-potato as the belt will change hands for the fifth time in 2023. With that said, AEW is getting it right this time. Storm’s character can make this belt more meaningful than even the talented Hikaru Shida can.

The Bet
Toni Storm

Six-Man Tag Team Match

WrestlerSOdds
Sting, Darby Allin, Adam Copeland-2000
Christian, Nick Wayne, Luchasaurus+700

One of the best storylines in all of pro wrestling has been Christian’s pursuit and subsequent reign of the TNT Championship. Then adding Christian’s longtime best friend and WWE HOF Adam Copeland to the mix, has only made this some of the most compelling drama on television.

And, in a world where there’s a lack of TV content due to a lengthy writers’ strike, this storyline has satiated even non-wrestling fans.

With that said, there’s no way that AEW will have the team of Copeland, Darby Allin and Sting lose at Full Gear. This match marks Copeland’s first PPV bout for the company. It also marks one of the last PPV matches for Sting as he’s set to retire in early-2024.

Personally, I would love to see Team Christian steal this match and keep the heat on the heels. There’s plenty of time for Copeland to get his revenge. I would turn the heat up on this feud until it explodes at a PPV match between the two next year.

There’s no betting value with Team Copeland’s odds. However, if you want to be a daredevil, place a small flier on the heels.

The Bet
Sting, Darby Allin, Adam Copeland

AEW International Match

WrestlerOdds
(c)Orange Cassidy+145
Jon Moxley-200

At the 2023 All Out PPV, Jon Moxley ended Orange Cassidy’s 10-month AEW International title reign with a bloody beating that reminded us of Moxley’s violent nature. However, it also elevated Cassidy to the level of a true main event star.

Moxley would go on to hold the belt for less than three weeks before dropping it to Rey Fenix at the 2023 Grand Slam edition of Dynamite on September 20. Moxley suffered a legitimate concussion in that title match and was off TV for several weeks.

Orange Cassidy ended up defeating Rey Fenix at the October 10 episode of Dynamite to become the two-time International champion. At the November 1st episode of Dynamite, Moxley returned and attacked Cassidy after the champ successfully defended his AEW International title against Moxley’s Blackpool Combat Club stablemate Claudio Castagnoli.

Although Moxley is favored to win this bout, I think AEW would be smart to have Cassidy retain the title. Moxley got the bloody victory at All Out, so it makes sense to have Cassidy get his revenge and prove to the world that he’s on Moxley’s level. This feud can continue, but Cassidy needs the victory more than Moxley does.

The Bet
Orange Cassidy

Texas Death Match

WrestlerOdds
“Hangman” Adam Page-400
Swerve Strickland+250

The stipulation for this match came about on the November 11th episode of Collision. Adam Page cut a promo challenging Swerve Strickland to a Texas Death match after declaring that Strickland crossed the line when he broke into Page’s home.

Strickland has become one of the most compelling characters in AEW. In fact, he’s become one of the most compelling stars in all of pro wrestling. His character work has reached another level and his in-ring work is second to none.

In fact, Strickland’s work has made Page relevant again. With that said, and to my dismay, I see Page picking up the victory at Full Gear and evening up this head-to-head rivalry. Strickland got the victory at WrestleDream in October. Now, Page will get the win this weekend.

Hopefully, the feud continues and Strickland picks up the victory in a trilogy fight. 2024 should be the “year of the Swerve.”

The Bet
“Hangman” Adam Page

Tag Team Match

WrestlerOdds
The Golden Jets-200
The Young Bucks+145

Over the last few weeks, The Young Bucks have expressed their displeasure over Chris Jericho teaming up with their best friend Kenny Omega to form The Golden Jets. This displeasure came to a head last week when the four men came face-to-face in a backstage segment on Dynamite.

Ultimately, Jericho egged on Nick and Matt Jackson (The Young Bucks) until they challenged The Golden Jets to a tag-team match at Full Gear. Although I believe that this match was hastily thrown together, the stipulations for this bout make this matchup an intriguing one.

If the Jackson brothers lose the match, then they have to give up their shot at the AEW tag-team titles. If Jericho and Omega lose, then they will have to quit teaming up together. Which direction will AEW go?

Oddsmakers are leaning towards The Golden Jets winning, and so am I. Once FTR dropped the tag belts to Ricky Starks and Big Bill in surprising fashion on the October 7th episode of Collision, the tag division was sent in a completely different direction. This also includes a creative pivot from the rumored grudge match between The Young Bucks and FTR for the tag belts.

With that in mind, I believe The Golden Jets will pick up the victory in this matchup. I wouldn’t be surprised if Jericho cheated to get the victory for his team. A tag-title match against Starks and Big Bill would make for an entertaining build and encounter. Provided that the AEW tag-team champs can retain their titles. You can read that prediction below.

Three-Way AEW TBS Title Match

WrestlerOdds
(c)Kris StatlanderNA
Julia HartNA
TBDNA

Like other matches on the Full Gear card, this TBS title match is the result of a promo from the November 11th episode of Collision. However, we will have to wait until the November 15th episode of Dynamite before we know who the third participant of this match will be.

On Dynamite, Red Velvet will take on Skye Blue for the third spot. You can expect the Full Gear odds for this TBS title match to be released shortly after.

This three-way match is the perfect opportunity for AEW to take the title off the champ, Kris Statlander, and put it on Julia Hart as she’s growing in popularity. Her work within The House of Black has made Hart an entertaining character and someone that the company can put a title on.

Hart already lost to Statlander in a singles match at WrestleDream for the TBS title last month. So, it’s time for Statlander and AEW’s booking team to return the favor. I see the third participant taking the pinfall and Hart leaving Los Angeles with the TBS championship.

The Bet
Julia Hart

Four-Way Tag Team Title Match

TeamOdds
(c)Ricky Starks & Big Bill-250
FTR+400
House of Black+400
LFI+600

These four teams have been actively involved with each other over the last month. At first, it seemed odd to see The House of Black showing up at FTR matches. However, after a few weeks, it became clear as to what this charismatic group was hoping to accomplish.

LFI (La Facción Ingobernable) became an integral part to this storyline when they helped save FTR from a beating at the hands of the House of Black and tag-team champions Ricky Starks and Big Bill.

Instead of having the champs defend their belts against one team, AEW decided to make it a four-way tag team title match. Regardless of the outcome, I see AEW getting more mileage out of the feuds between these teams. With that in mind, I expect a lengthy tag-title reign for Starks and Bill. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if they hold the belts into the spring of 2024 and beyond.

Starks has been one of the brightest stars on Collision, especially after feuds with CM Punk and Bryan Danielson. AEW needs to keep the gold and the spotlight on Starks for as long as possible.

The Bet
Ricky Starks & Big Bill

AEW World Title Match

WrestlerOdds
(c)MJF-5000
Jay White+1000

Unlike Mexican wrestling legend Konnan, I believe that AEW has done a great job with putting a lot of TV time and storyline focus on MJF and the AEW championship. The world title should be one of the most, if not the most, important things in any pro wrestling or sports entertainment company.

Currently, there are at least four different stories weaved into the pursuit or challenge of the AEW championship. One of those stories may be resolved this weekend when MJF puts his title on the line against Jay White. And, yes, it’s still MJF’s belt even though Jay White and his “bang bang gang” stole the title in order to antagonize and harass MJF over the last month.

As you can see, sports betting sites have MJF listed as the largest betting favorite for the entire AEW Full Gear card. I wish this wasn’t the case because Jay White is one of the best wrestlers in the world. A run as the AEW world champion would be fantastic for AEW and fans of White.

Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen anytime soon. AEW is committed to MJF’s lengthy world title run and the numerous challengers that are lining up to face the champ.

This will be a very entertaining matchup, but AEW’s brain trust will take the predicted route by keeping the belt on MJF.
