Super Bowl 58 Closing Odds
Super Bowl 2024 Odds Courtesy of Bovada:
TEAMS | SPREAD | MONEYLINE | TOTAL |
---|---|---|---|
San Francisco 49ers | -2 (-105) | -125 | Over 47.5 (-105) |
Kansas City Chiefs | +2 (-105) | +115 | Under 47.5 (-105) |
The 49ers opened as a 2.5-point favorite at Super Bowl betting sites. Shortly after the Super Bowl 58 odds were released, the public quickly bet the line down to -1. The 49ers remained a short favorite to win Super Bowl 58 over the Chiefs when the line closed at -2.0.

Super Bowl 2025 Favorites – Who Can Win?
All 32 teams in the NFL are available in Bovada’s early Big Game odds for next season. Here are my early Super Bowl 59 thoughts for the top eight teams in the latest betting odds.
Kansas City Chiefs (+450)
The Chiefs just won back-to-back Super Bowls. To make their victories even more impressive. Kansas City did so without having a true number-one wide receiver. Bovada has the Chiefs listed at +450 favorites to become the first-ever three-peat in the NFL.
I would not back the Chiefs at this point, though. The preseason favorite rarely wins the Super Bowl, and Kansas City has shown that they do not care much about the regular season.
Their lackadaisical approach resulted in KC being the third seed and having +900 odds to win Super Bowl 58 heading into the playoffs this past season. I suggest waiting to bet on the Chiefs because I believe the odds for them will improve significantly.
San Francisco 49ers (+600)
The 49ers (+600) have the best Super Boel 59 odds of any NFC team and the second-best overall. San Francisco was the favorite to win the Big Game this season heading into the playoffs. However, despite having a double-digit lead early in the game, the 49ers ultimately lost to the Chiefs.
San Fran still has a talented roster, and they have the benefit of being the NFC. My concern is the 49ers had great injury luck for most of last season. It is hard to imagine the team being as lucky again this season.
History is also not on the 49ers side, as Brock Purdy lost in his Super Bowl debut. The previous 17 QBs to lose their Big Game debut, including the likes of Joe Burrow and Jimmy Garoppolo, never made a second Super Bowl.
Baltimore Ravens (+1000)
The Ravens currently have the third-best odds to win Super Bowl 59 at +1000. Baltimore entered the playoffs as the number one seed in the AFC, but they choked in the AFC title game.
Lamar Jackson is also just 2-4 in the playoffs as the Ravens’ starting QB. His second postseason win came this year in the divisional round and Houston. It is challenging to imagine a more perfect scenario for the Ravens than the one they had this season.
Baltimore will also have a first-place schedule next season, so it is unlikely that they will repeat as the top seed in the AFC. The Ravens also benefited from a lot of other QBs in the conference, such as Joe Burrow, suffering season-ending injuries. With all of that in mind, I would fade the Ravens for now.
Buffalo Bills (+1100)
Another team that is no stranger to playoff disappointment is the Buffalo Bills. Like Baltimore, Buffalo found its new franchise quarterback in the 2018 NFL Draft. Josh Allen is 5-4 in the playoffs, but the Bills have only made it past the second round once.
Bovada has the Bills listed at +1100 to win it all in 2025. Allen and the Bills have benefited from a lot of media hype over the last several seasons. In the end, though, Buffalo and its QB have consistently failed to deliver success in the postseason.
I put the Bills in the same category as the Ravens: I will believe that they can win when I see them do it. Like Jackson, Allen had home-field advantage this season against the Chiefs in the playoffs. He fell short once again, and it’s hard to imagine anything different in 2025.
Detroit Lions (+1200)
The team with the second-best Super Bowl 59 betting odds in the NFC is the Detroit Lions. Detroit made it to the NFC title game and had a 24-7 halftime lead but ultimately lost 34-31.
Despite the heartbreaking defeat, this was still the Lions’ best season by far in the last three decades. In theory, the team should be in a good position to take another step forward next season. Their schedule will be tougher, though, and they will have to deal with the pressure of expectations.
Cincinnati Bengals (+1400)
There are three teams tied at +1400 in the latest early betting odds for Super Bowl 59. The first is the Bengals, who are hoping to get QB Joe Burrow back from injury next season. He suffered a calf strain last summer and struggled with injuries in the early part of last year.
In Week 11, Burrow suffered a season-ending wrist injury in the team’s loss to divisional rival Baltimore. The QB has led the Bengals to the Big Game before and should be able to make the team contenders again next season if he is healthy.
If any QB can break the curse of losing their Big Game debut, it is Burrow. The Bengals also have franchise-tagged WR Tee Higgins and will pair him with Ja’Marr Chase for at least another year. The team is ready to challenge, and the odds are tempting.
Dallas Cowboys (+1400)
Another team available at 1400 odds to win Super Bowl 59 is the Dallas Cowboys. The franchise had another disappointing, early exit from the playoffs this past season. The Cowboys also lost their defensive coordinator, Dan Quinn, but opted to keep head coach Mike McCarthy.
Dallas will likely receive plenty of hype this summer and throughout the regular season. However, I do not believe McCarthy is a good enough coach to win another Super Bowl, especially with the cap issues surrounding the Cowboys this offseason.
Green Bay Packers (+1400)
Rounding out the top eight is the team that sent the Cowboys packing last year, the Green Bay Packers. Jordan Love had a rocky first year as the Packers’ QB, but he ultimately righted the ship and exceeded expectations. I think the fifth-year QB is due to hit his version of the sophomore slump, though, and I would not bet on the Packers to win it all next season.
Early Super Bowl 59 Prediction and Betting Pick
It’s easy to back the Chiefs or the 49ers for Super Bowl 2025, but the odds are way too short for my taste. I prefer going for the value bet at this point of the season, so the Cincinnati Bengals are my pick.
If Joe Burrow is healthy and anywhere near his best, this team will be ready to compete with anyone in the NFL. Getting +1400 for the Bengals is the best bet early on.
