How to Use NFL Computer Picks
The Geek’s AI-generated NFL picks are built using advanced modeling that analyzes decades of historical data, team performance metrics, and betting line movement. By removing human bias and leveraging trends, The Geek provides an easy and effective way to make data-informed bets. For example, during the 2024 NFL season, The Geek successfully picked 68% of moneyline bets correctly!
To use AI generated picks in your NFL betting strategy, compare these outcomes against the odds at your favorite NFL sportsbook to help find an edge.
Free NFL Spread Picks
NFL spreads even the competition by giving each side of the competition a handicap, setting the odds at an “even” amount, usually -115. The favorite is indicated with a minus spread (ex. -3.5), meaning they must win by this difference or more for a bet to pay out. Underdogs have a positive spread (ex. +3.5), which indicates they must either win outright, or lose by this margin or less.
Free NFL Moneyline Picks
NFL moneyline bets are incredibly simple; the bettor chooses a team to win the game, and is paid out if their pick is successful. Whether it’s by 21 points or just 1, a win for the team is a win for you. These bets will offer a wider range of odds than the “even” odds of point spreads, making for a potential payday if you back the right underdog.
Free NFL Totals (Over/Under) Picks
Each NFL game is given a set number of points (ex. 43.5) that both teams’ scores count toward. Using our example, if bettors think the total will go over, they are wagering that 44 or more points will be scored. The same logic applies for the under — with 43 or less points, the under bet will win. NFL totals offer the same “even” odds that point spreads do, usually around -110.
Free NFL Player Prop Picks
NFL player props are different from the other bet types you can find here. Instead of focusing on a specific team or the outcome of the game, these are betting lines for individual player performances. In almost every case, they’ll be in the same format as totals bets — for example, a player prop could be choosing a quarterback to throw over/under 300.5 passing yards.
How to Use NFL Consensus Picks
Our users submit their prediction for every NFL spread today, and the consensus score indicates which side has favorable odds of winning in the public’s eye.
Consensus picks can be a fantastic resource for your betting research. Understanding where other bettors are placing their money, you can find opportunities to invest in an under-appreciated team or get in on the public favorite before the lines change.
