The TCU Horned Frogs and Kansas Jayhawks meet at the Phog for an elite matchup in the Pac-12. TCU is in Kansas on Saturday afternoon looking for an upset in an unlikely spot. We have the latest TCU vs. Kansas odds from Bovada at TheSportsGeek.
The Horned Frogs are looking for a better performance in this one after a 74-65 loss at West Virginia on Wednesday night. The 14th-ranked team in the country better look out. Following a red-hot start, TCU could lose their fourth game in five attempts this afternoon.

TCU enters the Phog with a record of 14-4. Three of their four losses have come since January 7. They had won 11 straight outings before faltering in a 69-67 loss at home against Iowa State. The Horned Frogs followed up with a competitive 79-75 loss at Texas as 6-point underdogs on January 11.
During this four-game stretch, TCU emerged with a winning outing on January 14 against Kansas State. The Horned Frogs pulled away in a strong performance for an 82-68 win. On the other side, Kansas is coming off just their second loss of the season.
The Jayhawks went to overtime at Kansas State and edged out in an 83-82 final against the Wildcats. This was the third straight game that Kansas failed to cover.
They failed to cover 10.5 points in a 79-75 loss versus Oklahoma, and then a 62-60 win as 7.5-point favorites against Iowa State at home. Those were not the best efforts at home for the Jayhawks

TCU vs. Kansas Predictions
The Jayhawks are the No. 2 team going into the Phog on Saturday. However, they have not looked that good to their bettors. Kansas has lost money against the spread this season.
Going into this matchup, the Jayhawks are just 7-11-0 ATS. Even worse, Kansas has covered the spread in just three of ten outings at home. They have been a better bet on the road in 2022-23.
There hasn’t been much separating these two teams statistically. If you were just to only look at their stats, TCU and Kansas are pretty well dead even in terms of team production.
Are The Jayhawks THAT Much Better?
According to the AP Top 25, Kansas has a sizable advantage over TCU. They are 2nd in the nation as opposed to 16th for the Horned Frogs. However, the numbers tell a different story.
Statistically, the Jayhawks do not look like the second-best team in the NCAA. They are 65th in the country with 77.2 points per game. Their 46.9% field goal percentage is just 60th in the nation.

Converting from the charity strip has been hampering them, as well. Kansas is 192nd with a free throw percentage of 70.8%. Do they excel defensively then? No, there is nothing special about the Jayhawks.
That is not the case. Kansas is 94th in the NCAA with an average of 66.2 points allowed per contest. They’ve been fine, with a 40.1% field goal percentage against, but nothing about this team looks like No. 2 in the country.
Kansas Finding Ways To Win
What the Jayhawks have done well is come through in crunch time late in games. They’ve been in several competitive matchups, though. It did not work out so well in their latest attempt in an 83-82 loss to Kansas State.
The Horned Frogs have kept pace statistically. They’ve netted 77.3 points per game which is 0.1 points better than Kansas. TCU is slightly better on defense, with 65.2 points allowed per game.
The offense has not slowed down on the road, either. The Horned Frogs have scored 75.8 points per game and a 48.3% field goal percentage on the road. They’ve been consistent in their last five games, with 75.4 points per game and a 48.9% field goal percentage.
TCU vs. Kansas Betting Pick:
Kansas is a perfect 10-0 at home this season. They are winning games, but not covering at a profitable clip. In their last five outings, the Jayhawks have not looked that special.
The Jayhawks have notched 74.8 points and 70.4 points against per game since January 3. They have failed to cover three straight outings at home. All three of those games came down to the wire, 69-67 vs Oklahoma State, 79-75 vs Oklahoma, and 62-60 vs Iowa State.
This is probably another one of those games for Kansas. Expect TCU to put up a pretty fight at the Phog. We like the points.
For our TCU vs. Kansas prediction, we are looking at a final score of 77-74.
