Expert Golf Predictions This Week (With Reasoning)
If you want to read about the reasoning for each one of the bets we locked in this week, continue reading below:
Jon Rahm Open de España Winner (+350)
Jon Rahm returns to familiar turf this week as the Open de España heads to Club de Campo Villa de Madrid, and the Spanish star looks poised to deliver in front of a home crowd.
At +350, Rahm leads the futures market, and with good reason. His current form, bolstered by a triumphant Ryder Cup performance for Team Europe, is among the best in the world.

This isn’t a loaded field, which only strengthens Rahm’s case. With Shane Lowry, Joaquín Niemann, and David Puig standing as the primary challengers, the competition is manageable for a player of Rahm’s caliber.
He’s riding a wave of consistency too, with five straight finishes of T13 or better across the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, including a pair of runner-up results.
With his game locked in and the energy of Madrid behind him, Rahm is well-positioned to make it a memorable homecoming. At +350, there’s strong value on the board.
Xander Schauffele Top 10 Finish (+130)
Xander Schauffele heads to Japan for the Baycurrent Classic with a prime chance to reassert himself in a soft PGA Tour field. At +130 for a Top 10 finish, the value is solid on a player who remains one of the most technically polished ball-strikers in the game.
While his 2024 campaign didn’t reach elite heights, Schauffele still finished the season ranked 12th in Strokes Gained: Approach to Green and sixth in driving distance, two metrics that pair well at Yokohama Country Club.
He quietly found some form late in the year, too, with back-to-back top 10s at the Scottish Open and The Open Championship.

Outside of Collin Morikawa, the field doesn’t offer much resistance. Hideki Matsuyama and Si Woo Kim are capable, but Schauffele’s floor is simply higher right now. With his elite iron play and power off the tee, a top 10 finish looks well within reach in this setup.
Rasmus Hojgaard Over Michael Kim (-155)
Rasmus Højgaard looks like the sharper side in his head-to-head matchup against Michael Kim at the Baycurrent Classic, even as a moderate favorite at -155. The Danish talent is trending up in a big way, fresh off a T3 at the Sanderson Farms and boasting a recent run of form that includes finishes of 2nd, T13, T2, and T3 in four of his last five outings.
Kim is coming in with some heat after winning the Open de France, but context matters, as that field lacked the depth of even a mid-tier PGA event. While his T10 at the BMW Championship was respectable, it stands out as an outlier when framed against a stretch of nine consecutive starts where he couldn’t crack the top 25.

Dating back to the spring, Højgaard’s game is simply more consistent right now. He’s stringing together results against solid competition and appears locked in. In this matchup, backing Højgaard to finish ahead is the more dependable call.
