Weekend Parlay Picks

Manchester City inside 90 minutes-210
Charles Oliveira+130
Florida Panthers-120
Josh Taylor-210

Pick 1: Manchester City (-210) inside 90 minutes vs. Inter Milan

Saturday, June 10th at 3:00 p.m. ET

To be clear here, this bet doesn’t include any potential extra time in Saturday’s UEFA Champions League Final. As it is a one-off match, if it is tied after 90 minutes, it will go to extra time, followed by penalties.

The thinking here is that Man City is a far superior side and after many failed attempts at European glory, the Citizens should finally breakthrough in a big way on Saturday afternoon vs. Inter Milan.

To have to lay -210 to win inside the regulation 90 minutes is no doubt a steep price at soccer betting sites, but it is certainly worth it given the talent discrepancy between these sides.

Expect Manchester City to dictate the pace and tempo of this match from the opening kick in Istanbul. They showed their talent last week against rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup Final, scoring an opening goal inside the one-minute mark.

Beyond this, Man City enter this matchup in elite form, with manager Pep Guardiola pushing all of the right buttons at precisely the right moment.

They throttled Real Madrid by a combined 5-1 scoreline over two legs in the semi-finals, and outside of a slight injury to defender Kyle Walker, enter fully prepared to win their first-ever Champions League title.

While Inter themselves enter in fine-form, playing excellent defensive soccer, they’ve yet to endure an offense as explosive as Man City’s. Though these sides have never met competitively, Inter will be very familiar with the talent of City’s attack.

Erling Haaland up front is a force anywhere on the pitch. The passing and creativity of both Jack Grealish and Kevin de Bruyne behind him should represent a formidable trio that should prove tough to defend against.

While Inter Milan has a talented all-Italian back three, they don’t possess the strength or pace to handle Haaland.

Inter is likely to fall behind at some point in this match. Although Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko have dominated Serie A competition, they’ll be hard-pressed to gain solid footing against a tough City back four, especially with them being so comfortable on the ball.

Man City is the better side here, and it really isn’t all that close on paper. Pep Guardiola is an excellent tactician and will have his side well-prepared to make long awaited European history in Istanbul.

Man City’s pace and talent up top should overwhelm Inter, and it’s tough to see the Italian side gaining much traction in mounting a comeback given the ball-winning ability of Man City’s talented midfield.

Lay the -210 on City to win inside 90 as a solid opening leg of this weekend’s parlay action.

Pick 2: Charles Oliveira (+130) over Beneil Dariush

Saturday, June 10th at 11:45 p.m. ET

The co-main event of this Saturday’s loaded UFC 289 fight card will see a thrilling fight in the lightweight division between former champ Charles Oliveira and a dangerous contender in Beneil Dariush.

Oliveira is coming off a disappointing loss his last time out against the current lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev. It’s been widely reported that the winner of Saturday’s bout will get to take on Makhachev for the title, so we should see two highly-motivated fighters as a result.

Oliveira wasn’t at his best the last time out, but to see him as a notable underdog for Saturday remains a tad surprising. Dariush does enter on an eight-fight winning streak, though he’s yet to take on an opponent the quality of Oliveira.

This fight should result in a ton of excitement, as both of these lightweight contenders are pressure fighters. They offer up a relentless pace from start to finish, backed by impressive stamina and conditioning.

However, Oliveira is more experienced in the cage and with these big-time fights. He also possesses a decisive edge in reach, and his orthodox stance is likely to catch Dariush a couple times throughout this battle.

Oliveira is tricky on his feet, and Dariush isn’t good enough to consistently get him to the mat. As a result, look for Oliveira to dictate the pace and tempo of this bout while standing.

The man dubbed as “Do Bronx” is supremely dangerous as a striker, and is well-known for delivering vicious elbows and knees when in the phone booth with his opponents.

Dariush is an excellent kicker and will try to use these kicks to counter Oliveira’s stance, style, and striking.

Oliveira has true knockout, one-strike power that Dariush lacks. Add in the fact that in his losses Dariush has given up some compromising grappling positions, and Oliveira should be able to simply smother him with brutal strikes.

The pressure of Oliveira should overwhelm, and lead to either a finish, or a decisive win on the judges’ scorecards. At a plus-money underdog price with UFC betting sites, back Oliveira to set-up another battle with his rival Makhachev.

Two-Team Parlay Odds

Pick 3: Florida Panthers (-120) vs. Vegas Golden Knights

Sat. June 10th at 8:30 p.m. ET

Hockey fans and bettors saw first-hand Thursday night the power of a keen forecheck and a physical, battle-tested group as the Florida Panthers finally started to take control over the Vegas Golden Knights.

While the Knights looked dominant at home in Vegas, the series really shifted in the second half of Game 3. The Panthers’ aggressive forecheck, and clean hits on the Vegas’ defense led to many turnovers, and eventually wore down the road team.

Though the Knights still lead this series two games to one, the thinking here is that the Cats can even it up Saturday night. With that in mind, the Panthers’ -120 moneyline provides solid betting value at Stanley Cup betting sites.

Florida has already seen Vegas’ best, and they’ve now been able to strike back. Sergei Bobrovsky remains elite between the pipes and if the Panthers can stay out of the penalty box, then they will beat Vegas.

Through this entire postseason and the Stanley Cup Finals, it’s been the Panthers who have been the better side at 5v5 play.  The depth of their top-three lines and the pace in which they play at has edged out the Knights’ forwards. Additionally, the defensive movement of Vegas’ blue-line has been lacking.

While Vegas surely has star talent in Jack Eichel and Mark Stone, they’re being negated by the decisive one-two punch of Matthew Tkachuk and Sasha Barkov of Florida. When they do find room and space, Bobrovsky has been one of the biggest reasons why the Panthers find themselves where they do.

He’s been elite in every sense of the word, putting together arguably one of the most impressive goaltending showings of our generation.

Florida head coach Paul Maurice continues to push all the right buttons, and despite his group likely not possessing the high-end talent of Vegas, their system and structure at 5v5 play is nearly impossible to break down.

Canadian defensemen Brandon Montour and Aaron Ekblad have emerged as one of the game’s best pairings. The Florida forecheck and offensive zone pressure is wearing down a weak Las Vegas defensive group, and the bubble has seemingly already started to burst with the Knights’ Adin Hill in net.

If the Cats keep this to 5-on-5 play, their underlying numbers have been solid. Florida continues to control the neutral zone, and we should see Game 4 play out similarly to Game 3.

Maurice on home ice has been solid all season long, and with the ability to have last change and line-match, it will allow him to get Barkov’s line out against Eichel and Stone.

With that manoeuvre being made, the Knights simply don’t have all that much top talent outside of that tandem. The Panthers are now a battle-tested and playoff hungry group, and in a crucial Game 4 spot, look for them to even this series up on home ice.

Three-Team Parlay Odds

Taking the first three legs of this weekend parlay card, Man City inside 90 minutes (-210), Charles Oliveira at +130, Florida Panthers -120 moneyline, will return +522 odds. This means you would win $522 dollars for every $100 dollars wagered.

Pick 4: Josh Taylor (-210) vs. Teofimo Lopez

Sat. June 10th at 11:00 p.m. ET

It is a big fight weekend, and it is not all focused on the UFC. There is a big lightweight boxing event going down Saturday night from Madison Square Garden in New York City, as Teofimo Lopez challenges champion Josh Taylor.

It is most certainly a clash between two of the best in the division, both in fairly unique situations.

Lopez was once considered the top pound-for-pound fighter in the world for a while, but a stunning upset loss his last time out to George Kambosos Jr. has stunted his upward trajectory. He now enters Saturday night a fairly sizeable underdog at boxing betting sites.

Josh Taylor is elite, but also enters with some question marks of his own. He hasn’t fought in over 15 months and it remains to be seen how he’ll react inside the ring after a bout of tough injuries.

He’s put together excellent showings of late, and given his knack of fighting in the clinch and grinding out victories, you understand why he enters a deserved favorite at online betting sites.

Lopez has the talent, but seems like he is consistently distracted by a lot of drama from outside of the boxing ring. Which Teofimo Lopez will show up Saturday night? That is the question.

Taylor, the pride of Scotland, is a patient and calculated fighter and should be able to frustrate Lopez with his eloquent popping and moving at distance. Expect Lopez to eventually lose his patience, come forward on Taylor, and that’s when the Scottish fighter should be able to inflict heavy damage.

Taylor is well-versed in ring dynamics, and enters 19-0 with 13 of those fights ending via knockout. He has elite defense, but even better punching power.

Ultimately, Taylor has more routes to victory than Lopez does. It’s tough to envision Lopez not getting in his own head, getting frustrated, deviating from whatever the gameplan is, and Taylor eventually picking him off in the latter rounds.

Expect Taylor to open up conservatively, but should extend his record to a perfect 20-0 by the end of the evening to close out a successful weekend of parlay betting!
