However, perhaps the biggest impact has been the proliferation of AI-generated videos and photos. Whether for good, bad, comedy, or work, AI is at the forefront in video making.

Additionally, AI music has taken on a prominent role. In July, a rock band, which has generated over a million monthly Spotify listeners, was revealed as an AI band!

To demonstrate the proliferation of AI this year, the U.S. now has over 4,000 AI data centers throughout the country. These data centers include three different types: hyperscale, enterprise, and colocation centers. Currently, Virginia has the largest number of AI databases with 643.

Databases generate roughly 183 terawatts of electricity, but that number is expected to skyrocket to 426 in 2030! The footprint that AI left in 2025 will be felt for years and decades to come in the future.

Recently, Huang criticized Nvidia managers for discouraging employee use of AI. Instead, he is promoting widespread AI adoption among his team and encourages employees to use AI whenever possible. He noted that software engineers are already leveraging AI coding assistants like Cursor to help write code.

“I want every task that is possible to be automated with artificial intelligence to be automated with artificial intelligence,” Huang said. “I promise you, you will have work to do.”

With AI adoption as a top priority at Nvidia, Huang remains a central figure in the technology’s advancement. If you want to put a face to AI, Huang is among its most prominent personalities. Although Nvidia is best known for its computer chips, it is steadily building its reputation as an AI juggernaut.

Additionally, Nvidia’s stock performance has attracted significant attention. As a leader in the tech market, Nvidia’s valuation is an important indicator. Over the past year, Nvidia (NVDA) shares have risen more than 30%, and an astounding 1,241% over five years!

After winning his second term in the White House in 2024, President Trump was named the 2024 Time Person of the Year. Similar to his first term, Trump has stayed in the news cycle nonstop since taking office in January.

Trump’s influence this year has been undeniable. Whether you like him or not, he is the focal point of American society in 2025. Trump’s policies have often been controversial, including a hardline stance on immigration, which has prompted widespread arrests and raids throughout the country.

Moreover, Trump is a primary player in the war in Ukraine and the Middle East. He has also brought attention to himself for the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files recently.

Previously, the Trump administration ruled that there wasn’t a client list and the case was effectively closed. However, under pressure from the public, the House and Senate passed a bill in November for the release of the Epstein files by the FBI.

Additionally, Trump has been in the headlines for attempting to strike an agreement between Ukraine and Russia to end the war. Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, and then shortly thereafter, invited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders to the White House for a high-stakes meeting.

He was adamant about winning the Nobel Peace Prize for his work, but it ultimately went to Venezuela’s Maria Corina Machado.

If that isn’t enough, Trump’s tariff strategy has had a major influence not only in the United States but also around the world. Whether it’s tariffs or another issue, Trump will continue to influence life in one way or another.

That gives Trump a big chance to repeat as Time’s Person of the Year, but is there some fatigue among voters?
