There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we selected our KBO baseball picks each day.
Lotte Giants vs. Samsung Lions: Under 9 (-125)
Alec Gamboa and Ariel Jurado headline Wednesday’s matchup between the Lotte Giants and Samsung Lions, and their recent consistency makes the under a strong angle.
Gamboa has quietly been one of the most reliable arms in the KBO, carrying a 2.80 ERA and 1.27 WHIP into this start. He has kept opponents in check with three or fewer earned runs allowed in 15 of his last 16 outings, giving the Giants a steady chance to stay in low-scoring games.
On the other side, Jurado has been just as effective for Samsung. The right-hander owns a 2.62 ERA and a crisp 1.10 WHIP over 178.1 innings. He has limited damage in 11 of his last 12 starts, showing the ability to control games deep into the later innings.
Samsung’s Ariel Jurado pitched 7 scoreless innings, giving up only 2 hits, while striking out 3 as the Lions beat Hanwha 4-0 https://t.co/k6Nk2QfMvZ

With both pitchers in form and the total set at 9, this looks like a favorable spot to back the under in a matchup where runs should be challenging to come by.
Hanwha Eagles vs. KIA Tigers: Hanwha -1.5 (-111)
The Hanwha Eagles look well-positioned to cover the runline against the KIA Tigers on Wednesday, and the pitching matchup is a big reason why.
Ryu Hyun-jin has been steady throughout the season with a 3.30 ERA and 1.20 WHIP, and he has handled the Tigers specifically with a 3.12 ERA against them in 2025. His ability to navigate lineups and limit damage makes him a trustworthy anchor for Hanwha.

Across the diamond, KIA turns to Kim Keon-kuk, who has struggled in extended outings. The right-hander owns a 6.44 ERA and 1.57 WHIP across just 43.1 innings. He has been used mostly as a reliever and now finds himself making only his sixth start, which raises concerns about both his stamina and effectiveness against a patient Eagles’ lineup.
With Ryu offering a clear edge on the mound and the Tigers’ starter still finding his footing, Hanwha has the tools to cover the runline comfortably.
