Game 2 of the KBO semifinals sets up as a classic pitcher’s duel between the Samsung Lions and SSG Landers, making the under at 9.5 runs the sharp side of this matchup.
Note that with the rainout on Friday, we are expected to have the same pitching matchup. At 9.5 runs, the run total in this matchup is still too high, so I’m sticking with my original pick for my KBO best bets today.
Samsung turns to Gerson Garabito, who has been a steady force all season with a 2.64 ERA and 1.19 WHIP through 15 starts. The right-hander has been dominant lately, allowing one or fewer earned runs in three of his last four outings. Even more impressive, Garabito completely shut down the Landers earlier this year, tossing seven scoreless innings while giving up just two hits.

On the other side, Kim Keon-woo has quietly become one of the most reliable arms in the league. With a 3.82 ERA and 1.55 WHIP over 35 appearances, Kim has surrendered two or fewer earned runs in 28 of his last 29 games.
Both pitchers enter in strong form, and with playoff tension tightening every at-bat, runs should be tough to come by between the Lions and Landers. The under 9.5 is the right call in Incheon.
