Cedric Tillman Over 37.5 Scrimmage Yards (-115)

Cleveland fell short in its bid to upset Cincinnati last week. Despite the loss, Joe Flacco racked up 290 yards passing, and four Browns’ players had over 50 receiving yards.

One of those players was Cedric Tillman, who caught five of eight targets for 52 yards. He is listed at over/under 37.5 combined rushing and receiving yards for this week’s matchup against Baltimore. I expect the third-year wide receiver to cover this weekend.

Tillman has only had two rushing attempts in his 26 career games, so he will need to cover the over with his receptions. The good news is that the Ravens’ defense allowed 394 passing yards last week, the most in the league.

Flacco has averaged 317.7 passing YPG in his six career starts for Cleveland. The QB should have a productive day against a soft Ravens’ passing defense, and Tillman will be a big part of that.

The Bet
Tillman Over 37.5 scrimmage yards
-115

Matthew Stafford’s Longest Completion Under 36.5 Yards (-115)

The Los Angeles Rams’ defense carried them to a 14-9 win in Week 1. Matthew Stafford threw for 245 yards, but the stingy Houston defense held LA to just two scoring drives.

Stafford only had one pass of more than 25 yards, a 36-yard completion to Xavier Smith. His longest pass in Week 2 is listed at over/under 36.5 yards. Stafford and company will travel to Tennessee to face the Titans this week.

Tennessee held a struggling Bo Nix to 176 passing yards. Nix completed 25 of 40 pass attempts, but his longest completion only went for 22 yards.

Stafford is a better passer than Nix, but Tennessee’s defense is stout. The Titans can definitely hold Stafford’s longest completion to under 36.5 yards on Sunday.

The Bet
Stafford Longest completion U 36.5 yards
-115

Chuba Hubbard Over 81.5 Scrimmage Yards (-115)

Carolina’s offense only managed 10 points in their Week 1 loss to Jacksonville. Despite the loss, Chuba Hubbard posted a healthy 89 combined rushing and receiving yards.

Hubbard is listed at over/under 81.5 combined rushing and receiving yards in Week 2, which looks short.

The Panthers face the Cardinals in Arizona on Sunday. Arizona’s defense held the Saints to just over 300 yards of offense, and Alvin Kamara managed just 57 scrimmage yards on 13 touches.

Hubbard should see more than 13 touches this weekend. He had 19 in Week 1 and averaged over 19.5 touches per game last season. Hubbard also averaged over 91 YPG from scrimmage last season on 4.7 YPT.

Assuming Hubbard gets his normal 19+ touches and maintains his 4.5 YPT career average, he will easily cover the over in this prop. A rough outing from Bryce Young in Week 1 could increase Hubbard’s touches this week, increasing his odds of getting over 81.5 combined rushing and receiving yards.

The Bet
Hubbard Over 81.5 scrimmage yards
-115

Javonte Williams Is the Last Cowboys TD Scorer (+300)

Another running back to watch this week is Javonte Williams. Dallas hosts the Giants in the Cowboys’ home opener.

Williams ran for two touchdowns in the Cowboys’ Week 1 loss, establishing himself as the RB1. I doubt he will have another multiple-touchdown game this week, but he is a good bet to score at least once.

Lucky Rebel has Williams listed at 3-1 odds to be Dallas’s last touchdown scorer this weekend.

On paper, New York has a great defensive line that should be tough to run against. However, the Giants allowed 220 rushing yards and two rushing scores last week.

The Giants’ offense also looked horrendous, gaining fewer than 250 total yards and scoring just six points in Week 1. Dallas will likely take the lead early on Sunday and try to run out the clock. A run-heavy approach in the second half will increase the chances that Williams scores a late touchdown.

The Bet
Williams Last Cowboys TD scorer
+300

Devonta Smith’s Longest Reception Over 22.5 Yards (-115)

Rounding out my best NFL player props for Week 2 is this bet for Devonta Smith’s longest reception, which is listed at over/under 22.5 yards.

Philadelphia takes on the Chiefs in a rematch of last season’s Super Bowl. In the Big Game, Smith had four catches for 69 yards. His biggest play of the game was a 46-yard touchdown reception that put Philly up 34-0 in the third quarter.

Smith had just 16 total receiving yards last week, but Philadelphia’s passing offense as a whole was disappointing. He has played the Chiefs four times in his career and has at least one catch of 35+ yards in every game.

    • Week 4, 2021 – Long of 37 yards
    • Super Bowl 57 – Long of 45 yards
    • Week 11, 2023 – Long of 41 yards
    • Super Bowl 59 – Long of 46 yards

Kansas City will be focused on containing Saquon Barkley. The few resources the Chiefs do devote to defending the pass will be trying to contain A.J. Brown. That will open the door for Smith to continue his streak of having at least one 35+ yard reception against KC and cover the over in this bet.

The Bet
Smith Longest Reception Over 22.5
-115
