Our NFL Week 3 Survivor Picks (With Reasoning)

After analyzing the third week of the NFL season in 2025-26, we have settled on the safest, moderately safe, and risky picks to win this week. Remember, you can only choose each team once per year, so keep the rest of the season in mind when making your picks!

Safest NFL Survivor Pick: Packers to Beat Browns

The Green Bay Packers have looked like a powerhouse in the first two weeks of the regular season. With two impressive wins over the Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders, the Packers are regarded as an early Super Bowl contender.

That is two victories against playoff teams and highly regarded squads this season. Now, the Packers change gears for a lowly matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

Could this be a massive letdown spot for the Packers in Cleveland? I think a lot of people were expecting a larger point spread than -7.5 points. However, the Packers should clear the Browns, who are 0-2 following a 41-17 drubbing last week.

I don’t foresee Browns’ QB Joe Flacco offering much in this matchup against a stout Packers’ defense. Against two fantastic offenses, the Packers held the Lions and Commanders to 238 yards per game! Despite two tough matchups, the Packers are fifth in the NFL in yards allowed.

Look for Flacco and the Browns to do next to nothing offensively, while QB Jordan Love and the Packers’ offensive unit will dominate the time of possession. The Packers should cruise to a win, so I suggest them for your best NFL survivor pool picks!

Moderately Safe NFL Survivor Pick: Seahawks to Beat Saints

The Seahawks welcome the Saints to Lumen Field for an NFC showdown at the Caesars Superdome. They are on the heels of a 31-17 victory over the Steelers in Pittsburgh on Sunday.

It was a nice response for the Seahawks following a tough 17-13 loss to the 49ers in Week 1. For their first road matchup, the Seahawks take on one of the worst teams in the league. The Saints head into Week 3 at 0-2 and figure to compete for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

They held up surprisingly well last week in a 26-21 loss to the 49ers. Saints’ QB Spencer Rattler passed for 207 yards and three touchdowns on 73.5% completions. He struggled against the Cardinals a week earlier, which I believe is what you have to expect from Rattler as an inconsistent quarterback.

The Saints have some of the worst depth in the league on both sides of the ball. They will look good in spots due to the presence of Saints’ RB Alvin Kamara in the backfield. Defenses must honor the run, but Rattler won’t take advantage enough times against the Seahawks.

Fresh off a solid effort from the Seahawks’ performance featuring QB Sam Darnold and RB Kenneth Walker, expect them to edge out a win over the Saints. Walker should have a massive showing versus a Saints’ defense that can’t stop the run.

It might be closer than expected, similar to the 49ers game, but there is no clutch DNA on this Saints team to finish. In short, the Seahawks are a great option as one of the best NFL survivor picks this week.

High Risk/High Reward NFL Survivor Pick: Cardinals to Beat 49ers

In a clash of 2-0 teams in the NFC West, the Cardinals and 49ers meet in Santa Clara for a big early-season matchup at Levi’s Stadium. The Cardinals enter as underdogs, but have a strong opportunity to pull off the upset.

The Cardinals are a well-rounded squad on both sides and finally meet a fairly respectable opponent after defeating the Panthers and Saints. However, the Cardinals are likely ready to face a short-handed 49ers squad, who could be without QB Brock Purdy.

Purdy has a chance to play in Week 3 after missing last week, but it’s likely he gets another game off. While the absence of Purdy and TE George Kittle didn’t matter versus the Saints, it’ll hurt in a divisional matchup against the Cardinals. Kittle is out for at least another two weeks with a hamstring injury, so he won’t be active.

In what should be a game that goes down to the wire, Kittle could have made the difference in this one. 49ers’ QB Mac Jones is coming off a three-touchdown showing against the Saints, but they had to scratch and claw their way to a 26-21 win against one of the worst teams in the NFL.

It isn’t my strongest play, but the Cardinals are worth a look as a high-reward NFL survivor pick in Week 3!
