Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season starts with an exciting battle between two playoff teams from a year ago. The Packers host the Commanders in Lambeau.
Other high-profile matchups this week include a rematch of Super Bowl 59 between the Eagles and Chiefs in Kansas City. There are also two Monday Night Football games this week. Tampa Bay visits Houston, and the Chargers and Raiders square off for first place in the AFC West.

Washington Commanders vs. Green Bay Packers Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Washington Commanders | +3.5 (-115) | +160 | Over 48 (-110) |
Green Bay Packers | -3.5 (-105) | -185 | Under 48 (-110) |
Week 2 kicks off with a battle between Washington (1-0) and Green Bay (1-0) on Thursday Night Football. Both teams won divisional matchups in Week 1. The Packers are laying 3.5 points at home this week.
Washington started hot against the Giants last week, opening up a 14-3 halftime lead. However, they did not score against until mid-way through the fourth quarter. Luckily, the Commanders’ defense held Russell Wilson and the Giants offense to just a pair of field goals on the opening day.
Green Bay was also dominant in its season opener, holding Detroit to just 13 points. Jordan Love led the Packers offense to five scoring drives and threw two touchdowns in his season debut. However, no skill player had more than 85 scrimmage yards on Sunday.
The Packers defense will be tested against Jayden Daniels and company, but they should rise to the challenge. I expect Green Bay to win a tight contest that might go down to the wire.
Commanders vs. Packers NFL Week 2 Best Bets:
- Points Spread: Washington Commanders +3.5 (-115)
- Moneyline Bet: Green Bay Packers (-185)
- Over/Under Bet: Under 48 (-110)
Cleveland Browns vs. Baltimore Ravens Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Cleveland Browns | +12.5 (-110) | +600 | Over 45 (-110) |
Baltimore Ravens | -12.5 (-110) | -950 | Under 45 (-110) |
Two teams looking to bounce back from disappointing Week 1 losses are the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens. Cleveland missed a PAT and a short field goal in a 17-16 loss to the Bengals. Baltimore, on the other hand, blew a 15-point fourth-quarter lead to lose to Buffalo 41-40 on Sunday Night Football.
The Ravens are 12.5-point favorites at home in this AFC North matchup. Cleveland is available at 6-1 in the latest NFL Week 2 moneyline betting odds.
On paper, the Ravens should win this game easily. However, Baltimore have proven time and again that they cannot be trusted early in the season. They also lost to Cleveland in their first matchup last year, allowing Jameis Winston to pass for 334 yards and three touchdowns.
The Ravens’ loss last week is the type that lingers. Baltimore should win this game, but the 12.5-point spread will be too big for the Ravens to cover this week.
Browns vs. Ravens NFL Week 2 Best Bets:
- Points Spread: Cleveland Browns +12.5 (-110)
- Moneyline Bet: Baltimore Ravens (-950)
- Over/Under Bet: Over 45 (-110)
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Cincinnati Bengals Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Jacksonville Jaguars | +3.5 (-120) | +160 | Over 49.5 (-110) |
Cincinnati Bengals | -3.5 (+100) | -185 | Under 49.5 (-110) |
Speaking of the Bengals, they host the Jaguars this week in Cincinnati. The home team is favored by 3.5 points in this battle of former number-one overall quarterbacks. Joe Burrow’s Bengals are listed at -185 on the moneyline.
Cincinnati struggled to keep Burrow upright last week, and the Bengals’ skill players suffered for it. The quarterback had just 113 passing yards, and the team totaled 46 yards on the ground.
Jacksonville had a much easier time against the Panthers. Trevor Lawrence was held under 200 yards passing, but the Jaguars still posted 20 points in the first half. Travis Etienne looked like his old self, racking up 143 rushing yards, including a 71-yard run.
This game has shoot-out written all over it. The Bengals struggled to stop Cleveland, and the Jaguars have a much better offense than the Browns.
Likewise, the Jags defense is in for a much longer day at the office against Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins. Ultimately, I expect the Bengals to win and move to 2-0 for the first time in Burrow’s NFL career.
Jaguars vs. Bengals NFL Week 2 Best Bets:
- Points Spread: Cincinnati Bengals -3.5 (+100)
- Moneyline Bet: Cincinnati Bengals (-185)
- Over/Under Bet: Over 49.5 (-110)
New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
New York Giants | +6 (-115) | +220 | Over 44 (-110) |
Dallas Cowboys | -6 (-105) | -270 | Under 44 (-110) |
Up next is a divisional matchup between the Giants (0-1) and the Cowboys (0-1). Both teams are searching for their first win of the season, and the loser will fall to 0-2 and the bottom of the NFC East rankings.
Dallas is a 6-point home favorite, while New York is listed as a +220 moneyline underdog. The over/under is set at 44 points.
The Cowboys’ offense moved the ball effectively in Week 1 before the hour-long weather delay. If that same offense shows up this week, they should easily defend their home turf. However, the Cowboys also benefited from playing an Eagles defense that looked like a shell of its former self.
New York’s defense gave up 21 points in the opener, but they also sacked Daniels three times. Unfortunately for the Giants, their offense is terrible. Wilson only completed 45.9% of his passes for 168 yards. The Giants gained just 231 total yards, the fifth-fewest in Week 1.
The Cowboys should win their home opener and cover the spread. However, I recommend taking the under as the Giants are unlikely to hold up their end of the bargain defensively.
Giants vs. Cowboys NFL Week 2 Best Bets:
- Points Spread: Dallas Cowboys -6 (-105)
- Moneyline Bet: Dallas Cowboys (-270)
- Over/Under Bet: Under 44 (-110)
Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Chicago Bears | +6 (-115) | +215 | Over 47.5 (-110) |
Detroit Lions | -6 (-105) | -260 | Under 47.5 (-110) |
Another divisional matchup between winless teams in Week 2 is the Bears vs. the Lions. Chicago dominated the first three quarters against Minnesota. Unfortunately, the Bears then allowed three touchdowns in the final frame, losing 27-24.
Detroit, conversely, looked bad throughout its 27-13 loss to Green Bay. Despite their struggles on offense, the Lions are 6-point favorites in this NFC North divisional matchup.
Chicago’s defense was great in the first three quarters on MNF. If they can play like that for 60 minutes in Detroit, the Lions will be in trouble. Detroit’s offense showed little to no life in Week 1, so I think the Bears can keep it close this week.
The Bears should cover the spread, but the offense had too many presnap issues at home against the Vikings. I don’t trust them to win this one, even if they can keep it close.
Bears vs. Lions NFL Week 2 Best Bets:
- Points Spread: Chicago Bears +6 (-115)
- Moneyline Bet: Detroit Lions (-260)
- Over/Under Bet: Under 47.5 (-110)
New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Moneyline |
---|---|---|---|
New England Patriots | +1 (-110) | +100 | Over 44 (-110) |
Miami Dolphins | -1 (-110) | -120 | Under 44 (-110) |
The theme of 0-1 divisional matchups continues with New England (0-1) taking on the Dolphins (0-1) in Miami. New England is a slight underdog at +1 in the latest odds.
Year two of the Drake Maye experiment did not start as planned for the Patriots. New England was a home favorite against the Raiders but lost 20-13. The defense allowed Geno Smith to throw for 362 yards.
Maye had a respectable 287 passing yards, but the team totaled just 60 rushing yards. Rookie TreVeyon Henderson led the Pats with 27 rushing yards on his five attempts.
Miami looked even worse in the 3-8 loss to the Colts in Indianapolis. Tua Tagovailoa barely topped 100 yards passing and committed three turnovers. He was also sacked three times and replaced by Zach Wilson late in the blowout loss.
In theory, the Dolphins should be better at home, and the Patriots typically struggle in Miami. Mike McDaniel also needs to win to avoid becoming the first coach fired this season. The Dolphins should win on Sunday, but I don’t expect many points in this one.
Patriots vs. Dolphins NFL Week 2 Best Bets:
- Points Spread: Miami Dolphins -1 (-110)
- Moneyline Bet: Miami Dolphins (-120)
- Over/Under Bet: Under 44 (-110)
San Francisco 49ers vs. New Orleans Saints Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
San Francisco 49ers | -4 (-115) | -225 | Over 41 (-115) |
New Orleans Saints | +4 (-105) | +185 | Under 41 (-105) |
The Saints fought admirably in the first half against Arizona last week. However, their offense could only manage a field goal in the second half of their 20-13 loss at home. New Orleans is a home underdog again this week against the 49ers.
San Francisco is laying 4 points as a road favorite this week. The 49ers are the better team, but covering will be easier said than done given the injuries they suffered in Week 1.
The 49ers’ injuries from Week 1 include:
- QB Brock Purdy: Questionable with toe and shoulder injuries
- WR Jauan Jennings: Questionable with a shoulder injury
- TE George Kittle: Out 4-5 weeks with a hamstring injury
On the bright side, running back Christian McCaffrey looked like his old self on Sunday, totaling 142 scrimmage yards on 31 touches. CMC alone should be enough for San Francisco to pick up the win in the Big Easy week.
49ers vs. Saints NFL Week 2 Best Bets:
- Points Spread: San Francisco 49ers -4 (-115)
- Moneyline Bet: San Francisco 49ers (-225)
- Over/Under Bet: Under 41 (-105)
Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Buffalo Bills | -6.5 (-110) | -310 | Over 46 (-105) |
New York Jets | +6.5 (-110) | +255 | Under 46 (-115) |
Josh Allen’s MVP-worthy performance helped the Bills overcome a 15-point fourth-quarter deficit to upset the Ravens 41-40 on SNF in Week 1. Allen and company are 6.5-point road favorites this week against the division rival New York Jets.
New York played well in its home opener but ultimately lost to Pittsburgh 34-32. However, if Justin Fields and the Jets offense can replicate their performance from last week, they could upset Buffalo.
The Bills are coming off a major, emotional win in what is already being called the Game of the Year. Historically, there is a natural regression after that type of performance.
Also, Buffalo struggled to contain the Ravens’ rushing attack. The Bills allowed 8.2 YPC, and the Ravens totaled 238 rushing yards last week.
Justin Fields and Breece Hall are a poor man’s Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry, but New York did rack up 182 rushing yards in Week 1. The Jets had the fourth-most rushing yards in the league, averaging 4.7 YPV against the Steelers. If they control the clock on the ground, the Jets should cover the 6.5-point spread at home.
Bills vs. Jets NFL Week 2 Best Bets:
- Points Spread: New York Jets +6.5 (-110)
- Moneyline Bet: Buffalo Bills (-310)
- Over/Under Bet: Over 46 (-105)
Seattle Seahawks vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Seattle Seahawks | +3 (-120) | +130 | Over 40 (-110) |
Pittsburgh Steelers | -3 (+100) | +100 | Under 40 (-110) |
Speaking of the Steelers, they host the Seahawks this week in a rematch of Super Bowl 40. Pittsburgh is a 3-point favorite at home against Seattle in a game listed with an over/under of 40 total points.
The Steelers’ defense struggled to contain the Jets’ offense, led by their former QB Fields, in Week 1. Pittsburgh allowed 394 total offensive yards, tied for the fifth-most. The good news for Steelers’ fans is that the Seahawks only totaled 234 yards on offense last week.
Seattle could not sustain drives against the 49ers at home. Now, they must travel across the country for a 1:00 pm ET kickoff. Historically, this situation has not favored West Coast teams.
Also, Sam Darnold is not nearly as mobile a passer as Fields. Darnold also struggles when pressured consistently.
If the Steelers generate their typical pass rush, they should fluster Darnold this weekend. However, the Seahawks should also be able to move the ball if they are committed to the run. A run-heavy attack will allow Seattle to cover, but the Steelers should pick up the win in their home opener.
Seahawks vs. Steelers NFL Week 2 Best Bets:
- Points Spread: Seattle Seahawks +3 (-120)
- Moneyline Bet: Pittsburgh Steelers (+100)
- Over/Under Bet: Over 40 (-110)
Los Angeles Rams vs. Tennessee Titans Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Los Angeles Rams | -5.5 (-120) | -260 | Over 42 (-110) |
Tennessee Titans | +5.5 (+100) | +215 | Under 42 (-110) |
Another Super Bowl rematch on the NFL Week 2 schedule pits the Rams against the Titans in Tennessee. These teams squared off in Super Bowl 34. Since losing that game, Tennessee is 3-2 against the Rams over the last 25 years.
Los Angeles is a 5.5-point favorite in Nashville this weekend. The Rams defense stepped up big in Week 1, holding C.J. Stroud and the Texans to single digits in LA’s 14-9 win. However, LA’s offense could not move the ball consistently and was shut out in two quarters on Sunday.
Tennessee’s offense also had a rough showing in the team’s 20-12 loss to Denver. Rookie Cam Ward threw for only 112 yards and was sacked six times in his NFL debut.
If the Titans cannot protect Ward, it will be another long day for the number-one overall pick. On the bright side, Tennessee should have a slightly easier time against the Rams on the other end. LA has a good defense, but they are not as good as Denver.
The Titans’ defense looked great in Week 1 and could create problems for the Rams. I expect Tennessee to cover, even if LA is more likely to win.
Rams vs. Titans NFL Week 2 Best Bets:
- Points Spread: Tennessee Titans +5.5 (+100)
- Moneyline Bet: Los Angeles Rams (-260)
- Over/Under Bet: Under 42 (-110)
Carolina Panthers vs. Arizona Cardinals Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Carolina Panthers | +6.5 (-110) | +250 | Over 44 (-115) |
Arizona Cardinals | -6.5 (-110) | -300 | Under 44 (-105) |
Arizona had arguably the easiest matchup of Week 1 against the Saints, but the Cardinals still found a way to make the game competitive. They have another easy matchup this week in their home opener against the Panthers.
The spread sits at 6.5 points and the Cardinals are favored at -300 on the moneyline.
Carolina was predictably inept in their Week 1 game against Jacksonville. They totaled just 255 yards of offense against the Jags. Another road game this week, especially one across the country in Arizona, is a tough draw for the Panthers.
Arizona is not a world beater by any means. Kyler Murray only had 163 yards passing in the team’s Week 1 win. However, Murray, James Conner, and Trey Benson combined for 146 rushing yards on 27 attempts. Benson led the team with 69 yards on eight rushes.
The Cardinals should be able to control this game with their rushing attack. After all, Carolina allowed 200 rushing yards to Jacksonville last week. My main prediction is that this will be one of the least-watched games this week.
In terms of results, I expect the Cardinals to win without covering the spread in a low-scoring game.
Panthers vs. Cardinals NFL Week 2 Best Bets:
- Points Spread: Carolina Panthers +6.5 (-110)
- Moneyline Bet: Arizona Cardinals (-300)
- Over/Under Bet: Under 44 (-105)
Denver Broncos vs. Indianapolis Colts Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Denver Broncos | -2 (-110) | -130 | Over 42.5 (-105) |
Indianapolis Colts | +2 (-110) | +110 | Under 42.5 (-115) |
Peyton Manning’s former teams square off this week as the Colts (1-0) host the Broncos (1-0). Indianapolis blew out the Dolphins last week, but they are 2-point underdogs at home this week.
Denver’s offense was nearly unwatchable last week, with no skill player exceeding 70 yards from scrimmage. The silver lining for Broncos fans is that their defense was the best in the league in Week 1.
The Broncos D limited the Titans to:
- 133 total yards of offense (fewest in the NFL)
- 62 passing yards (fewest in the NFL)
- 71 rushing yards (8th-fewest in the NFL)
Denver also sacked Cam Ward six times, the most sacks of any team in Week 1.
Indianapolis was great on both sides of the ball last week, nearly shutting out the Dolphins in a 33-8 win. The Colts had three sacks and forced three turnovers. Indy also totaled 418 yards of offense, the fourth-most in the NFL.
Much of the Colts’ success was due to the Dolphins’ deficiencies, and Denver will be a significant step up. However, after watching the Broncos’ offense last week. I think the Colts’ defense can lead Indy to an upset win at home.
Broncos vs. Colts NFL Week 2 Best Bets:
- Points Spread: Indianapolis Colts +2 (-110)
- Moneyline Bet: Indianapolis Colts (+110)
- Over/Under Bet: Under 42.5 (-115)
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Kansas City Chiefs Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets
Team | Spread | Spread | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Philadelphia Eagles | -1 (-110) | -115 | Over 47 (-110) |
Kansas City Chiefs | +1 (-110) | -105 | Under 47 (-110) |
The Eagles and Chiefs square off this week in a rematch of Super Bowl 59. Philly dominated Kansas City in February, leading 40-6 with under five minutes to go in the Big Game.
Kansas City is a 1-point underdog for the rematch this weekend at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Chiefs as a home underdog is too good a line to pass up. Also, KC is coming off a loss in Week 1 against the Chargers in Brazil. They will be extra motivated to win this weekend against Philadelphia.
The Eagles’ domination in February was largely due to their defense. Philly lost multiple defensive starters this offseason, and it showed in their Week 1 game against Dallas.
A key turnover and a timely weather delay helped the Eagles shut out the Cowboys in the second half. However, the Cowboys still scored 20 points in the first. The Eagles managed just three points in the second half as their offense struggled to sustain drives.
Both teams have a lot of question marks, but I think KC will pull off the upset at home. The Eagles simply do not have the players on defense to contain Patrick Mahomes this time around.
Eagles vs. Chiefs NFL Week 2 Best Bets:
- Points Spread: Kansas City Chiefs +1 (-110)
- Moneyline Bet: Kansas City Chiefs (-105)
- Over/Under Bet: Over 47 (-110)
Atlanta Falcons vs. Minnesota Vikings Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Atlanta Falcons | +5 (-110) | +190 | Over 45 (-115) |
Minnesota Vikings | -5 (-110) | -230 | Under 45 (-105) |
Minnesota’s improbable 21-point fourth quarter helped them beat the Bears on MNF. Now, the Vikings are 5-point favorites at home against the Falcons.
Atlanta nearly beat the Buccaneers last week but lost after Younghoe Koo missed the game-tying field goal. It was a disappointing end to an otherwise competitive NFC South matchup.
Despite the loss, there was a lot to like about the Falcons’ offense. Michael Penix Jr. racked up 298 passing yards and completed 64.3% of his passes. Bijan Robinson had over 120 yards from scrimmage, including a 50-yard receiving TD on Atlanta’s opening drive.
The bad news is Atlanta managed under 2.5 yards per rush, and no one on the Falcons had more than 24 rushing yards on Sunday.
Minnesota had its own struggles, but the offense came alive in the fourth quarter. All three of the Vikings’ TDs and 168 of their 263 yards of offense came in the final quarter. If the Vikings can keep that momentum going in their home opener, they will beat the Falcons and improve to 2-0 to start the J.J. McCarthy Era.
Falcons vs. Vikings NFL Week 2 Best Bets:
- Points Spread: Atlanta Falcons +5 (-110)
- Moneyline Bet: Minnesota Vikings (-230)
- Over/Under Bet: Over 45 (-115)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Houston Texans Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | +2.5 (-105) | +125 | Over 42 (-115) |
Houston Texans | -2.5 (-115) | -150 | Under 42 (-105) |
The first game in Week 2’s MNF doubleheader pits the Buccaneers against the Texans in a cross-conference matchup. Both teams won the South division in their respective conference last year.
Houston lost last week but is a 2.5-point home favorite in Week 2. Tampa Bay is listed at +125 on the moneyline.
The Texans’ defense came to play last week, holding the Rams to just 14 points. However, Houston’s offense managed just three field goals and went scoreless in the second half. Stroud’s 151 yards passing was the ninth-fewest of any starting QB.
Tampa Bay looked rusty against Atlanta, but the Bucs were able to score when it mattered. They delivered 13 points in the second half, and Baker Mayfield ended the day with three passing TDs. The Bucs offense is more in sync at this point in the year, which will allow them to upset Houston on MNF.
Buccaneers vs. Texans NFL Week 2 Best Bets:
- Points Spread: Tampa Bay Buccaneers +2.5 (-105)
- Moneyline Bet: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+125)
- Over/Under Bet: Over 42 (-115)
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Las Vegas Raiders Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Los Angeles Chargers | -3.5 (-105) | -185 | Over 47 (-105) |
Las Vegas Raiders | +3.5 (-115) | +160 | Under 47 (-115) |
The second game of Monday’s doubleheader is an AFC West divisional matchup between the Chargers and the Raiders. Both teams won their openers, so the winner of this game will be at worst tied for first place in the division.
Las Vegas is getting 3.5 points as a home underdog this week. LA is the -185 moneyline favorite.
The Chargers’ offense scored in every quarter against the Chiefs in Brazil. LA also relied heavily on Justin Herbert’s rushing ability, with the QB racking up 32 yards on seven attempts. Herbert had an efficient day through the air as well, completing 73.5% of his passes for 318 yards and three TDs.
In comparison, Las Vegas earned a 20-13 upset road win over New England last week. Geno Smith played great in his debut for the Silver and Black, completing over 70% of his passes for 362 yards. It was not all pretty, though, as the Raiders earned just 56 yards on 24 rushing attempts in the win.
LA have one of the best passing defenses in the NFL, and they should be able to contain Smith and company this week. However, I believe the Raiders will keep the game close.
Chargers vs. Raiders NFL Week 2 Best Bets:
- Points Spread: Las Vegas Raiders +3.5 (-115)
- Moneyline Bet: Los Angeles Chargers (-185)
- Over/Under Bet: Over 47 (-105)
