Conn Smythe Trophy Odds, Favorites and Betting Prediction

The Florida Panthers’ Sam Bennett (+150) is the favorite to win the Conn Smythe, but the race is being contested by three players. Bennett has the greatest implied probability of winning at 40%.
Connor McDavid (+240) and Leon Draisaitl (+275), both of the Edmonton Oilers, are in the mix as well. McDavid has a slight advantage on Draisaitl, with a 29.4% chance over the German superstar’s 26.7%. Last season, McDavid won the Conn Smythe despite being on the losing side in the Stanley Cup Final.
In 2025, the winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy will likely be from the winning team. All three have been fantastic in the postseason, so voters, I believe, are going to stay on the traditional course and choose a player from the team that lifts the Cup.
With that in mind, I recommend betting on a player from the team you believe will win. The series is tied at 2-2, with OT sessions needed to decide three of four matchups! For my pre-series Stanley Cup pick, I played the Panthers at +105 and remain committed to the defending champs after dropping a heartbreaker in Game 4.
In other words, Bennett is the most logical option to win the Conn Smythe. While Bennett’s aggressive play has gotten under the nerves of opposing players and fans, he’s been the clear MVP for the Panthers. If Bennett wins, there will undoubtedly be several critics, especially after playing a role in concussing Maple Leafs’ goaltender Anthony Stolarz.
Regardless of the controversy and blurring the lines between legal and illegal contact, Bennett’s physical play in front of the crease and corners has helped the Panthers get here. All the while, Bennett is being a playmaker and scoring goals, which includes breaking the NHL record for most playoff goals on the road.

The 28-year-old center from Holland Landing, ON, has scored 14 goals and tallied seven assists in 21 games. He leads the NHL in playoff scoring with three more than Draisaitl. However, a lot of what Bennett does can’t be quantified on a stats sheet.
He is forechecking, backchecking, and frustrating opponents just as well as his scoring touch in the playoffs. For my Conn Smythe predictions and best bet, I give Bennett the edge at +150!
