The Dallas Mavericks won the NBA Draft lottery to receive the #1 pick, leaving many to ask if the NBA Draft is rigged. After the Luka Doncic trade, it seems strange that the Mavericks have been rewarded for a terrible trade, which is the consensus thought.
But the Mavericks are getting the pick, and now everyone is waiting to see what they do with it. Do they keep it and take Cooper Flagg? Do they trade the pick away, potentially to a team like Milwaukee, who would then likely take Flagg? Is there a world in which Flagg doesn’t even go first? We’ll break down that prop bet, and more, below!
There are a variety of NBA Draft prop bets to check out at NBA betting sites. Wagering on the NBA Draft has become a popular market for savvy bettors on the lookout for strong value!
We have a pick for each one of the props currently available at Bovada, and the online bookmaker is sure to add more in the future. Keep an eye out for props concerning the trading of picks.

2025 NBA Draft First Pick Odds and Prediction: Cooper Flagg (-100000)

The third pick of the NBA Draft is the most highly discussed selection this year. What are the 76ers going to do at No. 3? Will they even keep the pick and opt to trade it to another team? There are a lot of scenarios that could play out here.
Ace Bailey is the most polarizing player in the NBA Draft, and his draft position is up for debate. He could go as high as No. 3 or tank down the board on Wednesday night. Before Bailey announced he was skipping a trip to visit the 76ers, there was a decent chance of him going to Philadelphia.
He’s a pure sharpshooter that the 76ers would welcome in their lineup. However, Bailey wanted the organization to confirm to him that they’d draft him. Without that confirmation, he opted to stay home instead of meeting with the 76ers.
Nevertheless, at +425 odds, there remains some optimism that the 76ers will ignore the red flags and still select Bailey. Currently, the NBA Draft 2025 betting odds suggest he has a 19.05% implied chance to hear his name called at No. 3. That said, Baylor’s VJ Edgecombe likely has the edge now!

Edgecombe has fantastic athleticism and can shoot the ball from anywhere on the court. He is at his best in catch-and-shoot spots and in transition. What makes him a top 5 pick is his perimeter defense, though. He has enough offensive tools to develop into a dangerous scorer, while contributing defensively right away in his first year.
Bailey has a higher ceiling offensively, but he’s a boom or bust player, and character issues are at the forefront right now. Edgecombe is the safer choice, which I believe Dayl Morey will ultimately go with at No. 3.
2025 NBA Draft Hornets’ Pick (4th Overall) Odds and Prediction: Tre Johnson (+400)

Duke small forward Kon Knueppel has edged forward as the betting favorite for the No. 4 pick of the NBA Draft. Knueppel’s odds to go No. 4 have shortened from +350, so public sentiment is up and the money is following.
Edgecombe follows closely at +225, but he is likely to go to the 76ers. Meanwhile, Bailey could very well fall down the board after declining meetings with teams last week.
The Charlotte Hornets may choose to move down and collect more assets in a trade, but there is still solid talent with the fourth pick.
As I noted, following the second pick, it’s a complete unknown and more of a crapshoot. The way I see it, Texas Longhorns’ guard Tre Johnson would be a perfect fit in Charlotte. The Hornets are in desperate need of shot makers who can consistently fill the hoop.
Johnson is a pure 6’6” jump shooter who isn’t shy about pulling up from anywhere on the floor. He connected on 68% of his jump shots at the NBA Draft Combine in drills. The sharpshooter managed to turn plenty of heads at the Combine to help his draft stock.
Tre Johnson is the best movement shooter in the 2025 NBA Draft class. Made 54.8% of his 3s off screens as a Texas freshman. Over 40% on total catch-and-shoot 3-point attempts. Shades of Ray Allen. pic.twitter.com/mzaM3w3Qhd
— Kevin O'Connor (@KevinOConnorNBA) June 14, 2025
Johnson’s tremendous shotmaking ability sent him to the top of the SEC in scoring. The 19-year-old native of Garland, TX, averaged 19.9 points per game on 42.7% shooting overall. He’s at his best from the perimeter, where Johnson shot 39.7% from three for the second-best mark in the SEC.
The Hornets need a pure scorer, and Johnson fits the bill perfectly. While he has room to grow as a defender, there is a solid foundation for him to develop into a two-way player.
As unpredictable as the draft should get at this point, Johnson carries a plethora of value to go No. 4 at +400 odds!
Derik Queen Draft Position Odds and Prediction
-
- Over 11.5 (-125)
- Under 11.5 (-105)
6’10” center Derik Queen rose to prominence in his freshman season with the Maryland Terrapins. Queen scored 16.5 points per game on 52.6% shooting from the field.
He also chipped in with nine rebounds per game to nearly average a double-double in his first and only season of college basketball.
Queen is excellent in the post and has strong handles for a big man.
However, Queen’s work at the NBA Draft Combine wasn’t particularly inspiring. He isn’t a huge center and has to showcase better ability than he did at the Combine. Queen was moving around like perhaps a 7’3” center would and not his true height of 6’11”.
It’s incredibly important that Queen goes to the right team. He’s either going to have a fine career or be a complete bust. A lot of that is going to be dependent on the team that drafts him and their system.

Queen’s game is often compared to that of Houston Rockets’ center Alperen Sengun. Understanding, though, that Sengun is in the perfect position in an offense that plays to his strengths. He could end up being closer to a Jared Sullinger-type player than Sengun if the wrong team selects him.
Also, keep in mind that the 20-year-old Baltimore native doesn’t shoot threes, so he’s a liability beyond the arc. Queen should also find it difficult to match the physicality of bigger and stronger centers in the paint.
All things considered, he’s a risky pick in the top 11. Look for Queen to fall to roughly the middle of the draft, so the over 11.5 draft position NBA Draft prop bet is worth a look!

The Mavericks will be on the clock….or will they? They could choose to trade the #1 pick, but for the purpose of examining these 2025 NBA Draft odds, we’ll assume the teams keep their picks. In that case, Flagg is the surefire #1 pick after winning National Player of the Year, and has been all season long.

It’ll be tough to win over whatever is left of the Dallas fanbase after the Doncic trade. But Flagg has the potential to be a special player, and some are comparing him to Scottie Pippen. He’s excellent on both ends of the floor, he can score, he can pass, and he loves playing in big games.
Flagg’s NBA Draft odds to go off the board at No. 1 were already high, but they exploded over the last month. The big 6’9” forward from Duke’s price has skyrocketed to -100000 since mid-May! One month ago, Flagg had a -20000 price to be drafted first, which was already an obscene price to begin with, and his price has only grown much higher.
With the NBA Draft only days away on Wednesday, Flagg remains the consensus No. 1 overall pick, and that isn’t going to change. The odds have held strong at -100000 in favor of Flagg for roughly a month now.
In other words, he has a 99.9% implied chance to be drafted by the Mavericks. Where does the 0.1% come from?
Well, there is always a chance that Flagg suffers a career-ending injury or goes through a personal tragedy that takes him out of the draft (let’s hope that’s not the case!). That’s really the only explanation for Flagg not being the first player to hear his name called.
I won’t recommend a bet on Flagg as -100000 offers virtually no return, even if he is almost certainly getting picked first. In fact, I’m so confident that Flagg is going No. 1 that they can take this prop bet off the board any minute now.

The Spurs are a darkhorse in the Giannis next team odds. But that doesn’t mean they won’t try and convince Milwaukee that the second pick, along with other assets, would be enough.

If they keep the pick (the Spurs also have the 14th pick), the Spurs should take Dylan Harper, who has long been considered the second-best prospect behind Flagg. The issue is, the Spurs already have a full backcourt with De’Aaron Fox and Rookie of the Year Stephon Castle.
But they should just take the best talent on the board and take Harper, who showed a nice all-around game at Rutgers, despite a lack of team success (which wasn’t all his fault).
He can get to the rim, and at 6’6”, Harper is big for a lead guard. He’s also the son of Ron Harper, who played 16 years in the NBA and won five titles alongside the likes of Michael Jordan, Pippen, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kobe Bryant. Dylan has grown up in the NBA life, so he’ll be well-prepared for what’s ahead.

Additionally, public sentiment, and therefore, the NBA Draft 2025 odds on Harper being drafted with the second pick, have been growing. That has continued to be the trend for over a month now. Harper was -2000 for the Spurs to draft him at No. 2 in mid-May. By late May, Harper’s NBA Draft betting odds for the No. 2 pick rose to -2500.
Last week, the No. 2 pick NBA Draft odds shifted harder in Harper’s direction to -4000. With even more money pouring in on Harper, he has a -5000 price to be selected by the Spurs, or another team, if they trade the second pick. In short, since mid-May, Harper’s implied probability has increased from 95.2% to 98%.
Harper’s already sky-high odds were reinforced even more with the shift to -5000. Again, at -5000, I wouldn’t recommend a wager on these NBA Draft 2025 odds. But Harper would be my prediction for the second pick.
