PSG vs. Real Madrid Odds and Predictions (CWC Semifinal)

PSG topped Group B, then thrashed Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami 4-0 in the Round of 16. The French club then defeated Bayern Munich 2-0 in a quaterfinal game that was memorable for Bayern’s Jamal Musiala suffering a gruesome ankle injury.

But it was also, arguably, the highest quality we’ve seen in the tournament so far. Goals from Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele put the game to bed for PSG.

PSG will go into this game shorthanded as Lucas Hernandez and Willian Pacho received red cards late against Bayern, forcing them out of this game. Manager Luis Enrique will have to go into his team and find replacements on the back line. Lucas Beraldo will likely take Pacho’s spot in the center of defense. Hernandez came on as a late replacement, however.

Still, PSG vs. Real Madrid odds favor the French side because of their depth and skill up front, and in the middle of the pitch. Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha, and Joao Neves have been brilliant in midfield. Dembele, the favorite in the Ballon d’Or odds, has come off the bench in both games, and could start here. Doue, the 20-year-old wonderkid, is spectacular.

But Kylian Mbappe’s volley in the 94^th minute stole the spotlight. Even though he just dropped his lawsuit against PSG, Mbappe will want to punish his former club on the pitch!

Real also needed an unbelievable save from Thibaut Courtois late to preserve the victory. The Spanish giants haven’t looked their best in this tournament. You would probably put that down to a new manager in Xabi Alonso, who only had a handful of training sessions to instill his methods.

The team will also have to figure out who will join Antonio Rudiger in central defense. Dean Huijsen received a red card against Dortmund, so Raul Asencio will likely take that spot.

But Real’s strength comes with their attacking prowess. Garcia has quietly emerged, while Mbappe is just starting to come around after missing the group stage with gastroenteritis.

Vinicius Junior has yet to take over a game, while Jude Bellingham has been solid, but not spectacular. Against the champions of Europe, Real’s superstars will have to play like it if the Spanish team is going to overcome these PSG vs. Real Madrid odds.
