Ryder Cup 2025 Winner Odds

Here are the latest Ryder Cup odds, courtesy of Bovada:

TEAM ODDS
USA -150
Europe +140
Tie +1200

Team USA (-150) is the odds-on favorite to win the Ryder Cup in 2025! They are coming off a 16 ½ – 11 ½ loss in a dominant performance from the Europeans. However, the Americans have a 60% implied probability to prevail and win their first championship since blowing out Europe in 2021.

The odds to win the Ryder Cup have remained the same over the last month. As we inch closer to the big roster reveals, the Americans have held strong at -150. In other words, there hasn’t been an overwhelming amount of money on either side to shift the price toward Team USA or Team Europe.

Home course advantage has played a huge role in determining a winner, and the USA has that behind them at Bethpage Black. The best player in golf is also expected to be on their team, which bodes well for Team USA! The tie (+1200) is the least likely result, with a 7.7% implied chance to occur.

There has been a tie in the Ryder Cup only twice, in 1969 and 1989. It’s unlikely to happen this year, as the best golf betting sites don’t have much confidence in a tie for the first time in more than three decades. So, is Team USA or Team Europe the best Ryder Cup pick for your money? Let’s find out below!

Ryder Cup Format and Key Info

The 2025 Ryder Cup is scheduled to be held on the Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale, New York, from September 26 to September 28, 2025. It is only the second time that the Ryder Cup has been hosted in New York, and a first-time honor for Bethpage.

12 golfers will represent their respective countries. For Team USA, the top six players in points on the PGA Tour tournaments following the BMW Championship are eligible to play. Team Captain Keegan Bradley has the power to choose the remaining six golfers.

The European side consists of the top six in Ryder Cup points after the conclusion of the British Masters will automatically qualify in August. Team Europe captain Luke Donald is responsible for making six picks to join the automatic qualifiers. The golfers must have a DP Tour card.

On the first two days of the tournament, the teams will compete in a four-ball (best ball) foursomes matchup. The final day is a singles format, with the first team to 14.5 points to win.

Team USA – Can the Americans Protect Home Soil?

    • Team Captain: Keegan Bradley
    • Key Golfers: Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas
    • Ryder Cup Titles: 27

Team USA’s roster remains a mystery right now, but we have a solid idea of what it’s shaping up to look like at Bethpage. Scottie Scheffler headlines the American side.

Here, you can find the current top six golfers in the Ryder Cup rankings, who would automatically qualify for Team USA:

    1. Scottie Scheffler – 32,420.33 Points
    2. Xander Schauffele – 13,383.85 Points
    3. J. Spaun – 12,478.91 Points
    4. Russell Henley – 11,623.82 Points
    5. Bryson DeChambeau – 10,774.98 Points
    6. Harris English – 10,385.65 Points

Scheffler is the top-rated golfer in the world, and it’s not even a debate. Fresh off another outstanding performance at the British Open to win the Claret Jug, Scheffler doesn’t have any competition on the PGA Tour at the moment.

He is ranked No. 1 in the OWGR Rankings with 810.27 points. Additionally, Scheffler leads the PGA Tour in SG: Total, SG: Off the Tee, and SG: Approach to Green. All the major metrics belong to Scheffler, so he’s going to be a huge star for Team USA.

Along with Scheffler, six of the seven top golfers in the OWGR Rankings are Americans. That includes No. 3 Xander Schauffele. Look for Scheffler and Schauffele to be focal points of Team USA and the entire tournament.

Schauffele isn’t having his best year — he has been inconsistent, but capable of getting hot. The last time he played in the Ryder Cup in the US, he went 3-1-0 at Whistling Straits. Additionally, Schauffele is coming off a strong performance in the Open Championship to finish T7 at Royal Portrush. I have no qualms about Schauffele being dialed in for the Ryder Cup.

Five American golfers are in the top eight in SG: Total. Along with Schauffele and Scheffler, Russell Henley, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, and Keegan Bradley have been among the top all-around performers in 2025.

J.J. Spaun is also having an impressive season, with a win and five top 10 showings. While the roster remains TBD, it should be an experienced squad with plenty of appeal.

Team Europe – Spoil the Party in the USA?

    • Team Captain: Luke Donald
    • Key Golfers: Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Tyler Hatton
    • Ryder Cup Titles: 12

Team Europe looks for back-to-back titles following an impressive victory two years ago at Marco Simone in Italy. With a green jacket in his closet, Rory McIlroy spearheads the charge for the Europeans in 2025.

The rest of the roster joining McIlroy is shaping up to feature a quality lineup:

    1. Rory McIlroy – 3,440.78 Points
    2. Robert MacIntyre – 1,355.84 Points
    3. Tommy Fleetwood – 1,314.61 Points
    4. Tyrell Hatton – 1,279.33 Points
    5. Shane Lowry – 1,234.11 Points
    6. Sepp Straka – 1,226.83 Points

McIlroy finally got over the hump and won his first Masters title in April. In addition to his first win at a major since 2014, the Brit has been playing a strong game throughout the season. He’s second in SG: Total, fourth in SG: Off the Tee, and fourth in SG: Putting.

Additionally, McIlroy’s driver, as usual, has been belting the ball at an average of 323.4 yards for second on the PGA Tour. That’s expected from McIlroy. It’s been the putter that has been the real game changer this season. McIlroy’s putter has betrayed him in the past, but he’s shored things up well.

Tommy Fleetwood has been one of the most underrated players on the PGA Tour in 2025. The 34-year-old Englishman is fourth in SG: Total and SG: Tee to Green this year. Moreover, Despite shockingly not having a PGA Tour win on his resume, Fleetwood is the best player who hasn’t ever hoisted a trophy. He was in contention once again at The Open, finishing T16.

However, after McIlroy and Fleetwood, I’m not entirely convinced that Europe has the depth to win in the US. Tyler Hatton, Sepp Straka, and Ludvig Aberg figure to be the supporting cast. All three are solid golfers but have been plagued by inconsistent form.

There is undoubtedly going to be a ton of pressure on the Europeans in front of a hostile American crowd. McIlroy and Fleetwood should make out well, but when Team Europe needs a big win elsewhere, it’s going to be tough to find it against the Americans!

Ryder Cup 2025 Predictions and Betting Pick

For our best Ryder Cup betting picks, I believe home-course advantage is going to pay off once again. The Ryder Cup always brings an electric crowd, and it can be intimidating for visitors to play focused golf. Since 1979, the visiting squad has won the Ryder Cup only six times!

Coupled with the fact that I’m not strongly fond of Team Europe’s depth, the Americans should have the upper hand at Bethpage. Backing Scheffler’s team isn’t a bad game plan for the Ryder Cup. Scheffler has done laps against the competition and should be the best asset here.

I will take Scheffler over McIlory, and I’ll also side with Schauffele over Fleetwood. You can argue that Fleetwood has been more consistent than Schauffele, but I anticipate the 31-year-old American to step up on the biggest stage.

For my best Ryder Cup prediction, I’m riding with the home team and the Americans!
