Seattle Storm (-2) vs. Las Vegas Aces (-110)

The Storm (7-5) have won four of their last five after a 98-67 win in Los Angeles on Tuesday, getting 26 points and five boards from Nneka Ogwumike. She also had three steals, and combined with Gabby Williams’ franchise-record eight steals, the two had 11 of Seattle’s 15 steals on the night.

It was a brilliant defensive performance by the Storm, who took advantage of absences from Kelsey Plum and Odyssey Sims for Los Angeles.

The Aces (5-6) are reeling with four losses in their last five games, most recently falling 76-62 in Minnesota. They’ve also been without three-time and reigning MVP A’ja Wilson for the last three games as she has been in the concussion protocol.

Las Vegas have a ton of problems, even when Wilson plays. They’re ninth in both offensive and defensive rating, they’re 11th in rebound differential, and the Aces don’t have any depth.

Outside of their starters, who are struggling, the Aces aren’t getting much from Dana Evans, rookie Aaliyah Nye, and Tiffany Mitchell.

Wilson is listed as questionable to play tonight in Las Vegas, where the Aces are 2-point underdogs. This is the third meeting of the season between the Aces and the Storm, who won 102-82 in Seattle on May 25. The Aces responded with a 75-70 win in Seattle on June 1.

But even with Wilson back, I’m taking Seattle to cover the 2.0-point spread on the road tonight in Vegas. The Aces have many issues to solve, and they’re running into a hot Seattle team that can beat you offensively or defensively. Ogwumike and Williams are one of the best forward duos in the league, and Skylar Diggins is having a great season so far.

Let’s take Seattle on the road to cover -2.0 at -110!

Seattle Storm -2
