WNBA Betting Picks: Predictions for Thursday, July 10, 2025

The Mystics (9-10) snapped a two-game skid with an 81-79 win over Chicago on Tuesday, thanks to two late free throws from Shakira Austin. She led the team with 15 points and eight rebounds on the night, while Sonia Citron added 13 points and eight boards for the Mystics.

Citron was named as a reserve to the All-Star Game, along with rookie Kiki Iriafen.

The Aces (9-10) fell 87-78 to New York on the road on Tuesday, but the loss was the least of their problems. A’ja Wilson played just 14 minutes before hurting her wrist on a fall. She had an MRI on Wednesday, and is listed as questionable for tonight’s game.

Aces’ head coach Becky Hammon said that the team would “err on the side of safety with her”. I wouldn’t count on the three-time and reigning MVP playing tonight.

Jackie Young stepped up with 19 points, while Chelsea Gray and NaLyssa Smith added 11 points each for the Aces. Kiah Stokes might have to step back into the starting lineup after being replaced by Smith. But Hammon doesn’t seem to have much confidence in the ten-year veteran center.

The Mystics are favored by 2.5 points at home tonight. They beat the Aces 94-83 on June 26 in Las Vegas. The Aces beat the Mystics 75-72, again in Las Vegas, on May 23. But I’m riding with the Mystics to cover at home, where they are 5-4 ATS (against the spread). The Aces are 4-5 ATS.

I’m taking the Mystics simply because I don’t think Wilson is playing or at least, she will be on limited minutes. Pound-for-pound, Wilson is the most valuable player in the league to her team. She does so much for Las Vegas on both ends of the floor, and their defense especially declines when Wilson is out.

The Mystics are 12^th out of 13 teams in offensive rating this season. However, they managed to put up 94 points on the Aces, with a healthy Wilson, just three weeks ago. It should be much easier without her.
