Golden State, meanwhile, couldn’t get anything going. Their field goal shooting hovered near 34%, and they hit only 9 of 31 three‑point tries. Even their top scorers, Veronica Burton and Cecilia Zandalasini, had modest nights with 14 points each, but that just wasn’t enough.
Beyond just Game 1, the regular season tells a similar story: Minnesota swept all four matchups with Golden State. With no reason to expect Golden State to suddenly flip the script, I’m backing the Lynx at −10.5 at WNBA betting sites. Their depth, defensive discipline, and shooting efficiency give them the tools to put Game 2 away early.
