2026 Women’s Olympic Hockey Betting Preview – Odds, Predictions, and Best Bets

The women’s Olympic hockey 2026 odds are unsurprisingly led by the United States and Canada. In seven editions of the women’s tournament, the United States and Canada have met six times in the gold medal game. Canada has won five gold medals, to two for the Americans.

I’ll examine their Olympic women’s hockey odds, as well as two sleepers that could shake up the podium. I’ll conclude the article with my women’s Olympic hockey picks!

Women’s Olympic Hockey 2026 Odds – Will It Be Team USA or Team Canada?

The following women’s Olympics hockey gold medal odds are courtesy of Lucky Rebel:

COUNTRY ODDS
USA -130
Canada +110
Czechia +2000
Finland +3000
Sweden +6600
Switzerland +10000
Germany +20000
Japan +20000
France +50000
Italy +50000

Team USA (-130) leads the way in the women’s Olympic hockey betting market with an implied probability of 56.5% to win their third gold medal. The Canadians (+110) are hot on their heels with a 47.6% implied probability. The two will actually meet at the round-robin stage on February 10. It’s the final game of the round, so that game is likely for first place in the group! That means (in theory), an easier path to the championship game.

It would be a shock if any other teams made it to the gold medal game. However, Czechia (+2000) and Finland (+3000) are hoping to catch the favorites on a bad day. Czechia enters with an implied probability of 4.8% to win, while Finland follows at 3.2%. Can these darkhorses spring a massive upset?

Olympics 2026 Women’s Hockey Favorites

Team USA (-130)

The Americans have failed to make it to the gold medal game just once, when they were upset 3-2 by Sweden in a shootout in 2006. Since then, they’ve won once in the last four Olympic championship games against Canada, in 2018.

Team USA has no shortage of scoring. Kendall Coyne Schofield, Britta Curl-Salemme, Taylor Heise, and Kelly Pannek are in the top five of the PWHL in points. Megan Keller is the top point-getter among defenders in the league. Hilary Knight will play in her fifth and final Olympics, and she’s still 15th in PWHL scoring.

The Americans are also strong in goal with either Aerin Frankel or Gwyneth Philips. Frankel might get the nod, posting a 1.35 goals-against-average in the PWHL. But Philips is no slouch with a 2.28 GAA.

They recently flexed their muscles against Canada, sweeping the Canadians 4-0 in the Rivalry Series in November and December. Team USA blew out Canada, outscoring them 24-7 in four games. They’ll head into Milan with plenty of confidence, and the Americans are deserving of their status as favorites in the women’s Olympics hockey odds. Their price definitely got a push from their recent performances against Canada in 2025.

Team Canada (+110)

The Canadians have to head back to the drawing board after struggling badly against the Americans in the Rivalry Series. None of the games were close, as Canada couldn’t score, nor could they stop Team USA from scoring. Canada also lost twice to the Americans at the 2025 World Championships, in the gold-medal game.

However, the Canadians can still be confident. Marie-Philip Poulin is back for her fifth Olympics, and is seventh in the PWHL in points. Brianne Jenner is fifth in points, and won MVP of the 2022 Olympics. There was an interesting decision to leave Rebecca Leslie at home despite her being sixth in scoring. Natalie Spooner is back for experience, but she has just six points this season.

The key for Canada could be Ann-Renee Desbiens. The goalie is off to a great start in the PWHL with a 1.15 GAA. But she struggled badly in the Rivalry Series. If she has a bad game against the Americans in the final group-stage game, Desbiens could get the hook.

It’s rare that Canada isn’t the favorite in women’s hockey. However, that means there is some value to be found in their 2026 women’s Olympic hockey odds!

Women’s Olympic Hockey Longshot Bets

Team Czechia (+2000)

Czechia is looking for their first Olympic medal, but they’ve been much improved. They won bronze at the 2022 and 2023 World Championships, and lost to Finland in both third-place games in 2024 and 2025.

There will be many eyes on Kristyna Kaltounkova, who was the first pick in the PWHL draft and is now eighth in scoring. They also have 11 players in the PWHL, which trails only the United States and Canada. It’s still a very young squad, but Czechia’s players are facing better competition, which bodes well for the national team!

I have questions about their goaltending, and whether it’ll be Klara Peslarova or Michaela Hesova between the pipes. They’re still a little thin on the blue line as well. Czechia is more than capable of playing for bronze, but I wouldn’t touch their women’s Olympic hockey odds here.

Team Finland (+3000)

The same goes for Finland, who have the upper hand on Czechia at the World Championships. They’ve also won three of the last four bronze medals at the Olympics, including two in a row!

Finland’s roster has largely stayed in Europe, except for four players, although they have a number of players at American colleges. Veterans Susanna Tapani, Ronja Savolainen, and Sanni Ahola are in the PWHL. Ahola is shining in goal with a 1.93 GAA. Finland will be counting on her for a big tournament.

I wouldn’t put Finland up against the favorites, so I don’t value their Olympic women’s hockey odds. A third-place showdown with Czechia is their ceiling, in my opinion.

2026 Women’s Olympic Hockey Betting Prediction and Pick

It will come down to Canada and the United States, as usual. Canada is much better than they showed at the Rivalry Series, and still has a lot of experience to count on. The Americans are flying right now, and Canada will have to slow the game down to win their sixth gold medal.

With the prices being this close between the two teams, I’m taking Canada as my women’s Olympic hockey prediction, simply for the return at +110!
