MLB betting sites are giving the edge to the Toronto Blue Jays at -122, who have an implied probability of 54.9% to win the series. The Seattle Mariners come back at +102, which gives them an implied chance of 49.5.
The season series went to the Blue Jays, who won four games to Seattle’s two, including a three-game sweep of the Mariners on the road. But the Mariners’ two wins both came in Toronto. Neither team had great World Series odds going into the season. But they both had strong seasons, winning their divisions, and they deserve to be in this spot!

Toronto Blue Jays – Can They Return to the World Series for the First Time Since 1993?
The Blue Jays finished first in the American League East, thanks to a tiebreaker over the New York Yankees. That allowed them to skip the Wild Card Round and head right to the ALDS, where they beat the Yankees in four games.

Despite missing Bo Bichette due to a knee injury, the Toronto offense has stayed hot, led by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. The Jays’ star is hitting .529 with three homers and nine RBIs. The team is hitting .338 as a whole, and has gotten timely hitting from unlikely players such as Ernie Clement and Nathan Lukes.
Toronto also got away with playing Game 4 with their entire bullpen, which means Kevin Gausman and Shane Bieber are fresh for the ALCS. Trey Yesevage was a revelation, striking out 11 Yankee batters over 5.1 innings in a 13-7 Game 2 win.
The Blue Jays don’t strike out and put opposing pitchers and defenses under constant pressure. They’re largely a good fielding team, and the pitching staff bends, but doesn’t break. Could this be the year the Blue Jays get back to the World Series for the first time since back-to-back wins in 1992 and 1993? The ALCS odds seem to think so!
Seattle Mariners – Can the Mariners Reach the World Series for the First Time Ever?
The Mariners won the American League West, and like the Blue Jays, skipped the Wild Card Round. They defeated the Detroit Tigers in five games in the ALDS, including a 3-2 15-inning marathon in Game 5, which ended on a walkoff single by Jorge Polanco.

Polanco went deep twice in the ALDS, while Cal Raleigh had one of the Mariners’ six home runs in the series. Raleigh had a monster season, hitting 60 homers with 125 RBIs and he has pushed New York’s Aaron Judge in the MLB AL MVP odds most of the season. But the Mariners didn’t hit well overall against the Tigers, logging an average of just .207. Julio Rodrigueuz needs to get his bat going against the Blue Jays.
However, the pitching came to play in the ALDS, with the exception of a Game 4 9-3 loss, as the Mariners had an ERA of 3.29. George Kirby gave the Mariners two good starts, but it would be great if Seattle could get Bryan Woo back. He was their ace in the regular season, but he has been out with pectoral inflammation.
This puts more pressure on Kirby, Luis Castillo, and the rest of the staff. But the Mariners have faced adversity before. They deserve to be here and their 2025 ALCS betting odds offers some value!
American League Winner Prediction and Betting Pick
This series seems like it’s going to be long, at least six games. But I’m banking on the Toronto Blue Jays in my ALCS betting predictions! They wear pitching staffs out with their discipline at the plate, and they have a fresh rotation heading into the series. The Blue Jays also have home-field advantage, and they travel well. You’ll see a large contingent of Toronto fans in Seattle!
It’s not going to be easy, but backing the Blue Jays at -122 still offers a decent return in what should be an excellent series starting on Sunday!
