The Winds of Winter Release Date

A Dance with Dragons, the fifth installment of the books, was released in 2011. Despite having 15 years to work on book six, The Winds of Winter has no release date yet. BetUS has the following odds for a release date announcement in 2026:

For this wager, the kilotons (kt) measure the atmospheric airburst energy when the meteor hits the Earth’s atmosphere. To reach 5 kt, the meteor would need to be approximately 10-15 meters in diameter.

Small meteors and other debris hit the Earth’s atmosphere all the time, but large meteors are uncommon. The bigger the meteor strike, the less likely it is to occur and the better the payout odds in this wager.

A one megaton meteor strike, the biggest available in this wager, is listed at +3000 odds and would require a meteor measuring 45 to 50 meters in diameter.

For reference, the last 1-megaton meteor strike was in June 1908 in Siberia, nicknamed the Tunguska event. Smaller events are far more common, with the most recent 5kt meteor strike hitting over the Bering Sea in 2018.

A New Pandemic in 2026

The recent breakout of the Hantavirus on the MV Hondius has renewed fears of another pandemic. BetUS lists the odds of a pandemic occurring in 2026 at +700 odds.

It also offers odds on specific outbreaks, including the Hantavirus, Ebola, and COVID.

The World Health Organization (WHO) must declare a pandemic for a specific disease for related wagers to cash in these markets.

There have been thousands of COVID-19 variants since the initial outbreak that led to the last pandemic. However, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) must declare that a new strain is a “variant of concern” to cash the above wager.

Most of the bets above have until the end of the year to cash. The two exceptions are for there to be a Hantavirus outbreak (25-1) and an Ebola case in the US (+175). Both have until the end of June to occur for the above bets to win.

This market is currently limited to 2026, while Congress is under GOP control. With that in mind, it is unlikely that President Trump or any of his supporters would be arrested since they control the government.

Nancy Pelosi, on the other hand, has long been a target of Trump and his allies. Likewise, former MAGA supporters who are now at odds with Trump, like Marjorie Taylor Greene, could be easy pickings for the GOP, especially since MTG is no longer in Congress.

FBI Top 10 Most Wanted List

The list is fluid, and you can view an updated Top 10 Most Wanted ranking on the FBI’s website. Two members of the list, Ryan Wedding and Cindy Rodrigues Singh, were recently captured. For the yes option in this wager to cash at -350 odds, any other fugitive in the Top 10 must be captured by June 2026.

The FBI looks nationwide for the criminals on the list, and tips are submitted from across the country. Successful tips could lead to cash rewards, so there is plenty of incentive for others to turn in the wanted fugitives.
