TEAMODDS
Paris Saint-Germain-120
Atlético Madrid+135
Botafogo+900
Seattle Sounders+1600

Paris Saint-Germain (-120) romped to another Ligue 1 title in France, and routed Inter Milan in the Champions League final on May 31! PSG has an implied win probability of 54.5% to win Group B, just ahead of Atlético Madrid (+135). The Spanish team finished third in La Liga, and enters this tournament with an implied win chance of 42.5%.

Bringing up the rear are Botafogo (+900) and Seattle (+1600). The Brazilian side won the 2024 Copa Libertadores, but soccer betting sites are giving them just a 10% implied chance to win.

Seattle won the 2022 CONCACAF Champions League to qualify for this tournament. But the Sounders of Major League Soccer have just a 5.9% implied win chance. This obviously doesn’t bode well for their Club World Cup odds to win outright!

FIFA Club World Cup Group B Favorites

Two teams are head and shoulders over the other two clubs in Group B, so let’s analyze the favorites to kick off this Club World Cup Group B preview!

Paris Saint-Germain (-120) – PSG Marching Towards History

  • League: Ligue 1 (France)
  • Head Coach: Luis Enrique
  • Key Players: Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Vitinha, Gianluigi Donnarumma

Paris Saint-Germain wrapped up their ninth Ligue 1 title in 11 seasons with six matches to play! That allowed them to keep players fresh for the Champions League, where they defeated Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Arsenal. In the final, PSG set a record for the largest margin in UCL Final history with their 5-0 romp over Inter Milan.

Ousmane Dembélé is now the favorite in the Ballon d’Or odds after a phenomenal season in which he scored 33 goals in all competitions. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia fit in seamlessly after his winter move from Napoli. Their midfield trio of Vitinha, Joao Neves, and Fabian Ruiz was the best in Europe.

They’re solid at the back, with rampaging fullbacks, and solid center backs. Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma had one of his most consistent seasons.

The biggest issue for manager Luis Enrique, as it might be for other managers of top clubs, is motivation. PSG just had a tough season, and have a chance to win five trophies this year! They won Ligue 1, the Champions League, as well as two French competitions, Coupe de France, and Trophee Des Champions.

Can Enrique get his team to push through for one more month? If the squad is at full strength and motivated, I could see PSG winning it all! Their Club World Cup Group B odds of -120 are actually a solid return for PSG, clearly the best team of the four!

Atlético Madrid (+135) – Can Simeone's Side Frustrate PSG?

  • League: La Liga (Spain)
  • Head Coach: Diego Simeone
  • Key Players: Antoine Griezmann, Julian Alvarez, Rodrigo De Paul, Jan Oblak

Atlético Madrid finished third in La Liga for the seventh time in 11 seasons, which happens when you’re in a league with Real Madrid and Barcelona. They did manage to win it in 2021, and they’re always near the top of the table.

Antoine Griezmann is the team’s star man, and he’s allowed to float around the pitch, usually trying to get the ball to Julian Alvarez. Griezmann scored 16 goals in all competitions, while Alvarez added 29 in his first season after moving from Manchester City. Alexander Sorloth chipped in with another 24 goals.

Simeone’s teams are always gritty and up for a battle, which makes them a pain to play against. Rodrigo De Paul is a force in midfield, while Nahuel Molina marshals the back line in front of goalkeeper Jan Oblak.

Atleti plays PSG in the first match of the group, which will likely decide the Group B winner. The Spanish team won’t back down from the Champions League winners, and it’ll make for a fascinating start to Group B! If they win that match, their Club World Cup Group B odds of +135 will look like a steal!

FIFA Club World Cup Group B Longshots

Now, let’s take a look at the two teams that need some help to overcome the top two in Group B!

Botafogo (+900)

  • League: Serie A (Brazil)
  • Head Coach: Renato Paiva
  • Key Players: Igor Jesus, Jair Cunha, Cuibano

Botafogo lost a few players and changed managers in 2025. They sold midfielder Luiz Henrique to Zenit Saint Petersburg in January for $37.7 million. Manager Artur Jorge left for Al-Rayyan in Qatar after taking Botofogo to the top of Serie A and the Copa Libertadores.

Botofogo just bought forward Joaquin Correa prior to the Club World Cup to help them score goals. Correa has spent time at Sevilla, Lazio, Inter Milan and Marseille, and he has scored four goals in 20 games for Argentina, although none since November 2022.

England’s Nottingham Forest is also sniffing around defenders Jair Cunha and Cuiabano, as well as forward Igor Jesus. This trio will look to boost their profiles for a big-money move. Cunha and Cuiabano will have to be especially important for Botafogo, which should try to stifle PSG and midfield. However, they’ll get to show their quality against Seattle.

Botofogo’s Club World Cup Group B odds of +900 are probably too low. It would be a massive shock if they were to overcome PSG and Atleti for the top of the group. It’s likely not even worth a look.

Seattle Sounders (+1600)

  • League: Major League Soccer (United States)
  • Head Coach: Brian Schmetzer
  • Key Players: Albert Rusnak, Cristian Roldan, Paul Rothrock

Seattle is in the middle of the MLS season, and they are sixth in the Western Conference as they prepare for the Club World Cup. The Sounders won the 2022 CONCACAF Champions League to qualify for this event. That win was the only good thing that happened to Seattle in 2022, when they finish 11th in the West, and 21st overall.

The Sounders will look to forward Paul Rothrock and the midfield duo of Cristian Roldan and Albert Rusnak to push them forward. However, their defense could be a problem. Seattle is ninth in the Western Conference in goals allowed, and that’s against MLS competition. It could get ugly against PSG and Atlético Madrid!

Their saving grace is that the Sounders will play all three of their Group B matches at home, Lumen Field in Seattle. That could give them the edge against Botofogo, but against PSG and Atleti, it shouldn’t make a difference. Like Botofogo, Seattle’s Club World Cup Group B winner odds might be too low.

FIFA Club World Cup Group B Predictions and Betting Pick

My Club World Cup Group B prediction comes down to PSG or Atlético Madrid, and I’m going to take PSG at -120! PSG has a chance to do something truly special. Only a handful of teams have won five trophies in a season, most recently, Manchester City in 2023.

PSG can join the likes of City, Bayern Munich (2013, 2020), Inter Milan (2010), and Real Madrid (2017) in history. I believe Enrique will have his team ready to go, and it’ll start by beating Atlético Madrid in the opener. Then, they can rotate players for the last two games against Botofogo and Seattle.

Let’s put Paris Saint-Germain in our Club World Cup Group B predictions at -120!
