The Buffalo Bandits (-223) are the odds-on favorite to win the NLL Championship! They’ve been favorites throughout the season, and the Bandits remain the top club to capture their seventh overall and third consecutive title!
In January, the Bandits had +260 odds to win the NLL Cup. Currently, with an implied probability to win of 69%, Buffalo has seen a significant jump from 27.8% earlier in the regular season. Likewise, the Saskatchewan Rush’s (+170) NLL Championship 2025 betting odds have skyrocketed at online sportsbooks.
They were not considered a favorite months ago, but have overcome the long odds to reach the finals! The Rush were previously a +900 longshot, with the fourth-shortest NLL Playoff odds to win the 2025 championship. The team’s implied probability has risen from 10% to 37%.

NLL Championship Betting Favorites
The top favorites to win the NLL crown have emerged, and only one three-game series remains. Let’s analyze the most likely winner and make a NLL Final prediction for 2025:
Buffalo Bandits (-223)

The Buffalo Bandits’ six championship titles are tied with the Philadelphia Wings and Toronto Rock for the most in league history. If they can three-peat, we can officially call this era of Bandits lacrosse a dynasty.
The Bandits were the most complete squad in the regular season, and it has continued throughout the NLL Playoffs. They ranked first with a goal differential of +47. In fact, Buffalo was the only team in the NLL to have a goals scored to goals against ratio above +40.
Head coach John Tavares’ team was spearheaded by a juggernaut offense that outpaced all other teams in the NLL. They notched 242 goals, or an average of 13.4 points per game, to put them well ahead of their competition. In their 2-0 series sweep over the Vancouver Warriors, the Bandits throttled them for 20 goals in a 9-3 and 11-9 win!

Led by Josh Byrne and Dhane Smith, Buffalo had the top two players in the NLL with 134 points each. These two not only can score, but are outstanding facilitators who make everyone else better around them. Smith, a 12th-year veteran, broke the NLL record with 102 assists in a single season!
Saskatchewan must find a way to slow them down, but it’s going to be difficult. The NLL Championship 2025 betting odds have it right with Buffalo favored.

Seven years since their last NLL title in 2018, Jimmy Quinlan’s Saskatchewan Rush are back in the NLL Final. Quinlan has done a fantastic job with what he’s had to work with on this team.
He doesn’t have a Byrne or Smith on his roster, but they’ve played terrific team lacrosse to make it this far. There isn’t a Rush player in the top 25 in points in the regular season. Again, Buffalo has the top two players!
Nevertheless, Zach Manns, who led the Rush in points, has stepped up considerably in the playoffs. Manns is third in the playoffs with a total of 15 points, including five goals and 10 assists.

The Rush matched the Bandits’ regular season record with 13 victories. However, they trailed behind their offensive output considerably. Saskatchewan scored 213 goals to put them 29 goals behind Buffalo. The Rush averaged roughly two fewer goals than Buffalo per game.
Saskatchewan needs someone to step up alongside Manns to give themselves a chance. Despite sweeping the Halifax Thunderbirds in wins of 16-7 and 10-9 OT, they’ll need an even better effort to oust Smith and the Bandits. It’s not impossible, but a huge challenge awaits.
2025 NLL Championship Prediction and Betting Pick
For my NLL Championship betting picks in January, I locked in the Bandits at +260 odds to win the Cup. It was clear that the Bandits were a few steps ahead of their competition, and I still hold that they’re the clear team to beat.
While I give the Rush a lot of credit for getting to this point, they are going to have a heck of a time chasing after Smith and Byrne. The Rush largely depends on their defense forcing opponents into errors, but that is unlikely to happen against a well-disciplined Bandits side.
Sweeping the Thunderbirds is one thing, but doing it against the Bandits is another. Expect the offensive onslaught from the Bandits to be too much to handle, so they are looking at a three-peat in 2025! The way I see it, Buffalo’s NLL Championship betting odds should be -300 to -330. In short, I recommend backing the Bandits to prevail over the Rush at Powbet.
