New York Liberty (-10) vs. Indiana Fever (-110)

The Liberty (14-6) have won three of their last four after a 79-72 win over Atlanta at home, storming back from a 19-point deficit. Leonie Fiebich was lights out, scoring 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting, including 4-of-5 from three-point land.

That made up for a terrible night by Sabrina Ionescu, who was 3-of-20 from the field for nine points. Ionescu missed all seven of her three-point attempts, although she did add five assists. Breanna Stewart was steady as usual, filling the stat sheet with 18 points, ten rebounds, four assists, three steals, and a pair of blocks.

The Fever (12-10) won their third straight game by a score of 85-77 at Connecticut, but it came at a considerable cost. Caitlin Clark left the court in tears with a leg injury, but it appears to be a right groin injury. The All-Star team captain has missed ten games this season with a quad injury, and she also hurt her left groin. Clark might have to sit out the All-Star Game in Indianapolis as a result. The Fever now have plenty of experience playing without their star point guard, but it’s still not ideal.

Clark had 14 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists before leaving the game. Kelsey Mitchel led the team with 20 points, while Natasha Howard had 18 points, 13 boards, and two blocks.

The Liberty are favored by 10 points at home in the final game before the All-Star break, and I think they’ll cover this double-digit spread tonight! The defense slipped a bit after Jonquel Jones went down with an injured ankle, but they’re second in defensive rating over their last five games. The teams have split their two meetings this season, both in Indiana. New York won 90-88 on May 24, while Indiana got a 102-88 victory on June 14.

You can find them at 10.5 points at other betting sites, but Bovada has them at 10 points with odds of -110. There is no official word on Clark yet, but there’s an excellent chance she won’t play, and this line will rise, so grab the 10-point spread for the Liberty while you can!
