Mouat carries the most pedigree and team form heading into the Olympics. After going 9-0 in the round robin stage of the 2025 European Curling Championships, they were upset by Sweden in a tough performance for an 8-5 loss.

While there is strong competition from Switzerland and Canada, Great Britain is the front runner to claim a gold medal at the Olympics.

After nearly knocking off Scotland at the 2025 World Championships, Switzerland heads into the 2026 Winter Olympics brimming with confidence. They pushed Bruce Mouat’s rink to the brink and now turn their attention to finishing the job in Italy.

With 333.6 points this season, Switzerland has a nearly 20-point advantage on Canada. In November, they reached the final of the 2025 European Curling Championships but came up shy in a loss to Sweden. The Swedes defeated Switzerland in yet another 5-4 final.

Canada once again enters the Olympics as a legitimate threat in men’s curling, and their track record backs it up. They booked their Olympic ticket by winning the Brier for Alberta, reinforcing their status as one of the strongest rinks in the country. Historically, Jacobs’ teams are rarely far from the top of the odds, and this Olympics isn’t any different.
