Thursday Night Football Odds and Betting Lines for Week 2

Let’s delve into the Commanders vs. Packers lines and best Thursday Night Football bets below! The following TNF odds for Week 2 are courtesy of Lucky Rebel:
TEAM | SPREAD | MONEYLINE | TOTAL |
---|---|---|---|
Washington Commanders | +3.5 (-115) | +152 | Over 48 (-110) |
Green Bay Packers | -3.5 (-105) | -188 | Under 48 (-110) |
The Green Bay Packers (-188) are favorites to defeat the Washington Commanders (+152). According to the latest Thursday Night Football odds, the Packers have a 65.3% implied probability to win on the moneyline.
They are also favored to win this matchup by slightly more than a field goal. At -3.5 on the point spread, the Packers are being given the edge for home-field advantage at Lambeau Field. Fresh off their big win over the Detroit Lions, they are favored for a second consecutive week.
The over/under suggests we should have a moderately high-scoring matchup. There are superstars on both offenses, but there should be some big plays from the defense as well. Which way are you leaning for your Week 2 Thursday Night Football picks? Let’s dig into the TNF betting trends and then my analysis.

TNF Football Prediction and Betting Pick: Commanders vs. Packers
The Packers got off to an impressive start in Week 1 against NFC North nemesis the Detroit Lions. They were in complete control of the matchup from the opening kickoff and won in all three aspects of the game, including offense, defense, and special teams.
Detroit was working with two brand new coordinators and a re-worked offensive line. It showed. The Packers pulled away from the Lions for a 27-13 victory in a huge statement win. Are the Packers really a good team, or did the Lions beat themselves?
I think we’re going to find out quickly against the most underrated team in the NFL. After upsetting the Lions in the playoffs to advance to the NFC Championship Game last year, the Commanders are still fighting for respect. That shouldn’t be the case, especially with an improved offense that features WR Deebo Samuel.
The Commanders torched the New York Giants in the opening week to emerge victorious by a score of 21-6. While QB Jayden Daniels is the face of this team, the defense deserves a lot of recognition. In 2024-25, the Commanders finished in the top 5 in the NFL, with 197.7 passing yards allowed per game.
They didn’t allow Giants’ QB Russell Wilson to get going in Week 1, as he passed for only 168 yards to lead his team to a 15-point loss. I don’t anticipate QB Jordan Love playing as poorly, though I expect the Commanders’ secondary to give him issues often. This should be the difference at Lambeau Field.

Of course, the Commanders can move the ball with Daniels through the air and on the ground as well. He opened the season with 233 yards passing and 68 rushing yards.
It’s interesting to see how he copes against a Packers’ defense that played exceptionally well in Week 1. LB Micah Parsons made his presence felt right away, but I’m confident Daniels makes enough plays.
I expect this matchup to go down to the wire in a 24-21 game, so take the points on the Commanders as one of the best TNF betting picks!
Team TNF Prop Bets: Commanders vs. Packers
Leading online bookmaker Lucky Rebel has a variety of Thursday Night Football prop bets for the Commanders vs. Packers. Let’s delve into my top team props to open the season in Week 2:

After what looked like a “warm-up” game for the Commanders in Week 1 against the Giants, expect Daniels and Co. to take off at Lambeau Field. Even when they were going through the motions, the Commanders still managed to put 21 points on the board without breaking a sweat.
I anticipate the Commanders opening the playbook up at Lambeau and putting the ball in the end zone at least three times. In Daniels’ rookie season, the Commanders averaged 3.3 touchdowns per game. They were fifth, with 373.3 yards per game.
Giants had their best pass rushers rushing & sent Giants rookie Abdul Carter on a LB Blitz.

In Week 1 this season, the Commanders tied the Baltimore Ravens with 432 yards of offense. Parsons is looming large at Lambeau, but look for Daniels’ mobility to offset the pass rush.
In short, I suggest siding with the Commanders over 2.5 touchdowns for your best TNF player prop bets.

The Packers vs. Commanders clash should be competitive at Lambeau Field. I don’t foresee either side running away like they did last week.
The Commanders’ pass defense won’t allow Love to get too comfortable to keep things within striking distance. Daniels running away with the lead on the road at Lambeau doesn’t seem probable, either.
In 2024-25, the Packers had a win margin of +6.1 points, while the Commanders finished with a +4 margin of victory. I could see a 14-point lead at some point in this one, but no larger than that.
At -130 odds, the 14 and under prop is worth a look for your best Week 2 TNF betting picks.
Best Thursday Night Football Player Props This Week
In addition to team props, consider adding a few TNF player prop bets to your Commanders vs. Packers card! There are a few plays that have caught my attention, so let’s analyze these Thursday Night Football picks below:
Anytime Touchdown: (WSH) Jayden Daniels (+180)
Daniels is going to use speed to his advantage against the Packers’ pass rush. The Packers will flush Daniels out of the pocket, but he has the agility to beat the pressure by slipping to the outside and breaking contain.
He’s one of the best in the NFL in eluding pass rushers, and I think it’s going to be the same on Thursday Night. Look for Daniels to turn one of these instances into a touchdown.
The Packers locked down Jared Goff and the Lions’ pass offense, so I believe they will force the Commanders to run effectively.

That’s going to start with Daniels improvising and running for the end zone near the goal line. His name is going to be called often, which could even be on a QB draw within the 10-yard line in Packers’ territory. Regardless of how you put it, Daniels is a fantastic anytime touchdown bet at +180!
Total Rushing Yards: Josh Jacobs (GB) Over 78.5 (-115)
- Over 78.5 (-115)
- Under 78.5 (-115)
Love is unlikely to have a clean game passing against a talented Commanders’ secondary. The most underrated unit in football should cause plenty of confusion. Despite going through changes in the offseason, the Commanders’ defensive philosophy and system remain the same under Joe Whitt Jr.
Packers’ RB Josh Jacobs should be the focal point of their offensive strategy this week. The run defense has improved from last season, but there are still holes to patch up. Jacobs galloped for 1,329 yards and 15 touchdowns on 4.4 yards per carry last year.

The Commanders were 31st in the league, yielding 143.4 yards per game on the ground. They should be better in 2025-26, but Jacobs should have solid production here. Look for the Packers to establish the running game early, so Jacobs over 78.5 rushing yards is a strong TNF player prop!
Total Receptions: Austin Ekeler (WSH) Over 2.5 (-125)
- Over 2.5 (-125)
- Under 2.5 (-105)
Daniels is likely to lean heavily on Commanders’ RB Austin Ekeler at Lambeau Field. With an aggressive pass rush, short passes underneath are one of the best ways to counter. Along with Daniels running, the short dump off to Ekeler and screens should succeed.

Ekeler is a solid pass catcher out of the backfield, as he hauled in 35 passes for 366 yards in 12 games a season ago. In the season opener, Ekeler notched three receptions for 31 yards.
It should be similar output for Ekeler, who has been limited in practice this week. However, there are no indications that he is going to sit down. With this in mind, Ekeler over 2.5 receptions is one of the best Thursday Night Football player props.
Thursday Night Football Parlay for Week 2
To wrap up your TNF betting card, consider including a parlay for a big payout! From the current list of available wagers at Bovada for Thursday Night Football, the Commanders’ point spread bet and a couple of props make for an enticing parlay.
In short, Commanders +3.5, Jacobs over 78.5 rushing yards, and Ekeler over 2.5 receptions is my top parlay. On a $100 wager, bettors can win $529.15 at +529 odds!
- Commanders: +3.5
- Jacobs: Over 78.5 Rushing Yards
- Ekeler: Over 2.5 Receptions
