There should be huge fireworks between the Kiwoom Heroes and Lotte Giants at Sajik Baseball Stadium on Tuesday! With Kim Yeon-ju and Alec Gamboa receiving the starting assignments, the offense should dominate against the pitching.

Both starters have been well out of form, as they aim to turn the ship around in this matchup between a contender and a massive failure. The Heroes are dead last in the KBO with a putrid record of 16-44-1. They are the Chicago White Sox of the KBO, and are expected to lose when they take to the field.

That’s in large part due to their anemic pitching staff. They are dead last in the KBO, with a team ERA of 5.81. The Heroes have also conceded the most home runs, and it isn’t even close, with 60 long balls. Gamboa has played a role in their struggles, as he heads to the mound with a 7.71 ERA through 4.2 innings.

The Heroes are experimenting and allowing newcomers to grab a spot in the rotation, but Gamboa failed in his first audition after signing with the club in May. Lotte should demolish the Heroes in this matchup at home. They rank first in the KBO with a team batting average of .286. Look for Gamboa to get into trouble, while Kim hasn’t been flawless, either.
