Doosan Bears vs. Hanwha Eagles: Under 8 (-120)

The Doosan Bears and Hanwha Eagles square off for three days at Hanwha Life Eagles Park. It should be a solid pitcher’s matchup between Cole Irvin and Ryan Weiss. The two foreign pitchers get the nod after solid performances against these offenses earlier in the year.

Irvin owns a 3.00 ERA and 1.33 WHIP through six innings versus the Eagles. Overall, he holds a respectable 4.28 ERA and 1.31 WHIP in 12 appearances. He’s looked like an ace at times, but too inconsistent to depend on every day. In his latest effort, Irvin was rocked for six earned runs against the Wiz.

That being said, he’s allowed one or no runs in seven of his starts this season. When Irvin has a bad start, he has always bounced back in the next assignment. With that in mind, I have confidence in Irvin looking the part on Tuesday against the Eagles.

Note that Hanwha is third last in the KBO, with a team batting average of .248.  Likewise, Weiss has been in solid form versus the Bears’ offense this season. He holds a 1-0 record and 2.35 ERA through 7.2 innings. On the season, Weiss owns a 3.36 ERA and 1.06 WHIP.

Weiss is locked in as of late, with two or fewer earned runs in nine of his previous 10 outings! In short, I recommend backing the under 8 runs for your best KBO picks today!

NC Dinos vs. Kiwoom Heroes: NC -1.5 (-146)

The NC Dinos look to keep their postseason hopes alive with a weekday series against the lowly Kiwoom Heroes. At 26-31-3, this hasn’t been the best year for the Dinos. They were expecting more out of this campaign, but are light years ahead of the Heroes right now.

The Heroes rank dead last in the KBO with a record of 20-46-1. They’ve been Colorado Rockies level of bad throughout the season, and it’s unlikely to improve versus the Dinos. The Dinos give the Tuesday assignment to Logan Allen, who has been a bright spot for the club in his first year in the KBO.

Allen enters today with an ERA of 3.53 and a 1.42 WHIP across 71.1 innings on the bump. He has locked down the Heroes for a 2.92 ERA in two starts this season. Conversely, though, I have little confidence in Heroes’ starter Kim Yun-ha holding his head above water against the Dinos.

Kim is getting pummeled on the bump with a 6.59 ERA and putrid 0-9 record in 12 starts! Additionally, the Dinos have destroyed Kim for a 13.50 ERA through 3.1 innings before getting pulled. Run support is nearly non-existent, as the Heroes’ offense is stagnant with a .235 batting average and 229 RBIs for dead last in the league.

So, the Dinos on the runline to win by at least two runs is one of the best KBO betting picks Tuesday!
