LG Twins vs. Hanwha Eagles: LG -1.5 (-125)
The LG Twins (40-26) are at Hanwha Life Eagles Park looking to improve on their league-best record. They are coming off an 8-6 win over the SSG Landers to take two games in the three-game series. On Friday, the Twins open a three-game tilt against the Hanwha Eagles (40-27) on the road.
The Twins are in a good spot to add to their lead in the standings over the Eagles in this matchup. Im Chan-kyu has figured out Hanwha’s bats to a tee. He holds a 2-0 record and 0.56 ERA over the Eagles this season. In two starts, Im conceded only one earned run across 16 innings of work!

Overall, the 32-year-old ace holds a 2.80 ERA and 1.22 WHIP through 80.1 frames. Look for Im to keep the Eagles in check to give the Twins a solid opportunity to stay hot. Run support is typically not a problem for Im, as the Twins are second in the KBO, with a team batting average of .266. They also lead the league in RBIs with 337.
19-year-old prospect Hwang Jun-seo is scheduled to start for the Eagles. He’s shown plenty of promise after showing growth from his initial campaign in 2024. Hwang posted a 5.38 ERA and 1.82 WHIP in 36 appearances in some work out of the bullpen and rotation. This year, Hwang holds a respectable ERA of 3.79 and a 1.21 WHIP through four starts.
He’s been in decent form, but at 19 years old, we’re likely going to see him have some inconsistent moments. I trust the Twins’ ace more in this spot over Hwang. In other words, consider backing the Twins on the runline for your KBO picks today.
Kiwoom Heroes vs. Doosan Bears: Under 7.5 (-115)
The Kiwoom Heroes and Doosan Bears square off in a battle of the losers at Jamsil Baseball Stadium. We should see the pitchers step up and take the spotlight in this one. I don’t anticipate either offense putting forth a strong effort here.
The Heroes rank last in the KBO with a .234 batting average. They’re also last in RBIs at only 237 RBIs this season. Expect the Heroes to find it difficult to hit Choi Seung-yong in Friday’s matchup. Choi heads to the bump with an ERA of 4.20 and a 1.34 WHIP.
He’s shown improvement from earlier in the season. Over his previous six starts, Choi has allowed two or fewer earned runs since May 4. Against a weak Heroes’ offense, expect Choi to record impressive numbers in this matchup. Likewise, Heroes’ ace Raul Alcantara should do the same versus the Bears.
Swinging K of the Day: Kiwoom's Raul Alcantara strikes out LG's Son Yong-Jun as he goes 8 innings, 3 hits, 1 run and 6K's to get the 4-1 win over LG https://t.co/8oejKQtkJW

Alcantara boasts a red-hot 2-0 record and 0.64 WHIP through two starts. He struggled last season due to an elbow injury, but is back on pace after rehabbing
