There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we selected our KBO baseball picks each day.

KT Wiz vs. KIA Tigers: KIA (-158)

The KT Wiz and KIA Tigers butt heads in the series finale at Gwangju-Kia Champions Field. The Tigers are coming off a 5-3 win over the Wiz on Wednesday at home. They have a favorable matchup on the mound with former Miami Marlin Adam Oller on the hill for the 15th start of his KBO career.

Oller heads to the bump with an ERA of 3.25 and a 1.02 WHIP through 83 innings. He has been in strong form in his first year in the KBO and continues to get better and more comfortable. In seven of his previous nine performances, Oller allowed two or fewer earned runs.

The 30-year-old is in strong form right now, and I imagine he will make life difficult on the Wiz. He’s allowed four earned runs through 11 innings of work. Oller should be in even better form at home, where he typically delivers his best effort. Conversely, the Wiz are giving Bae Je-seong his first performance of the season.

Bae enters the matchup with a career ERA of 4.20 and 1.52 WHIP in seven years. He hasn’t pitched since 2023 after posting his worst season in the KBO. Bae finished with a 4.49 ERA and 1.70 WHIP, as the 28-year-old’s form dropped off considerably.

Expect Oller to win this battle on the mound, so the Tigers are worth a look for your best KBO picks today!

SSG Landers vs. Kiwoom Heroes: SSG (-140)

The SSG Landers have strong appeal for our best KBO bets today at -140 on the moneyline over the Kiwoom Heroes. The Kiwoom Heroes found a rare win on Wednesday with a 3-2 victory over the Landers. That was with Ha Yeong-min dealing on the mound.

I don’t expect the same outcome for Park Ju-seong in this matchup, though. The Heroes assign Park to the series finale against the Landers. He’s been getting rocked on the hill, as is the case for most Heroes’ pitchers this season. Park holds a 7.36 ERA and 1.64 WHIP through nine outings on the bump.

He notched a 5.54 ERA and 1.38 WHIP a season ago in his fourth year in the KBO. The career reliever has a new opportunity in the rotation, which should be an interesting experiment. I don’t expect it to go well, and run support is likely to be hard to generate.

The Heroes are dead last in the KBO, with a team batting average of .231 and RBIs with 243. Look for Landers’ starter Park Si-hoo to hold the advantage over the Heroes. In two appearances out of the bullpen versus the Heroes, Park allowed no runs. He’s been a rock for the Landers as a reliever, posting an ERA of 3.25 through 22 outings.

Look for that to continue in the starting rotation against the lowly 21-51-2 Heroes. At 35-33-2, the Landers are in the playoff race and can’t afford to drop two ball games versus Kiwoom. Expect them to prevail, so consider the Landers on the moneyline at -140.
