Hanwha Eagles vs. Samsung Lions: Hanwha (-167)

The Hanwha Eagles and Samsung Lions clash in the series opener this week at Hanwha Life Eagles Park. It should be a solid matchup on the mound between Ryan Weiss and Choi Won-tae. However, the clear advantage appears to be with Weiss in this one.

Weiss has been one of the most reliable starters in the KBO this season. He has posted an ERA of 2.83 and a 0.97 WHIP through 15 games and 95.1 innings of work. The 28-year-old from Illinois is improving on the 3.73 ERA and 1.16 WHIP he recorded in his rookie year in Korea.

Also, Weiss is the hottest pitcher in the league at the moment. Note that he’s allowed no earned runs in 15 innings across two starts. Additionally, Weiss hasn’t conceded more than two earned runs since May 17 against the SSG Landers! With a record of 9-2, Weiss has been a valuable asset for the first-place ball club.

The Lions will need a big effort out of Choi on the bump. Choi heads into this week with a 5.18 ERA and 1.48 WHIP. He’s been inconsistent and unable to settle in this season. In Choi’s latest performance, he was destroyed for six earned runs versus the KT Wiz.

Weiss and the Eagles are the more reliable option here and should probably have -195 odds on the moneyline. In short, consider the Eagles for your best KBO betting picks today!

LG Twins vs. KT Wiz: Under 8.5 (-108)

The KT Wiz hosts the LG Twins for three days at Suwon Baseball Stadium. Both starters are in top form heading into Tuesday’s series opener. Yonny Chirinos and Emmanuel De Jesus head to the mound in what should develop into a pitching duel.

De Jesus is coming off one of his worst performances of the season, but I expect him to bounce back. The 28-year-old Venezuelan holds a 2.96 ERA and 1.19 WHIP across 79 innings. In his latest showing, De Jesus was dinged for six runs versus the KIA Tigers.

However, prior to that effort, De Jesus gave up just one earned run in 20 innings. I’m confident he shows up with a much better reproach and effort than against the Tigers last week. Also, expect Twins’ starter Chirinos to post solid results against the Wiz.

The former Tampa Bay Ray owns a 1.50 ERA and 0.83 WHIP in one start against the Wiz on May 18. I anticipate another strong outing from Chirinos, as he looks to build on an overall ERA of 3.29 and a 7-2 record.

So, the under 8.5 in the Twins vs. Wiz matchup is one of the best KBO bets Tuesday!
