Best KBO Predictions Today (With Reasoning), July 2
There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we selected our KBO baseball picks each day.
Kiwoom Heroes vs. KT Wiz: Over 9 (-115)
On the surface, the Kiwoom Heroes are rightfully the underdogs in this clash. They sit last in the standings, have a 3-6 records against KT Wiz this season, and will be sending a pitcher who got demolished by KT Wiz the last time around.
However, a closer look at Kiwoom’s recent heroics on offense suggests this game is very unpredictable. The Heroes have scored 26 runs in their last three games and at least five runs in their last five games.
They should be able to find success against KT’s starter So Hyeong-ju. The usualy reliable youngster has struggled in his last three games, allowing a combined 11 runs in just over 17 innings. I don’t trust him against Kiwoom’s offense right now.
Backing the Heroes at +170 is tempting, but their own projected starter Ha Yeong-min has struggled mightilly as well. He enters this game with mediocre stats: 4.96 ERA and 1.98 WHIP.
Both offenses should have opportunities this game, so the over 9 at -115 is one of the best KBO betting picks for July 2.
NC Dinos vs. Hanwha Eagles: Eagles -1.5 (+120)
The Dinos were soundly beaten by league leaders Hawnha in the series openes, and it’s hard to expect a different outcome in the second game.
The Eagles are expected to start Moon Dong-ju, who already has two wins against the Dinos on stellar stats. The pitcher was having an excellent season before two attrocious starts in June, but he quickly recovered and I expect a solid performance against NC.
On the other end, Mok Ji-hooon will be looking to build some momentum after two excellent starts. The problem with this pitcher is his inconsistency. The youngster has had some good moments this year, but his overall ERA stands at 6.02.
I expect him to crack under pressure against the league leaders, so I’m happy to back the Eagles to cover the spread here at plus odds.
